Located just minutes from South Chesterman Beach and a short drive to Cox Bay, this inviting home is the perfect retreat for both surfing adventures and peaceful relaxation. Originally designed for a retired family embracing island life, the home exudes warmth and comfort, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
The main floor features an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area, seamlessly blending space for cooking, dining, and gathering. The living room includes a wood-burning fireplace, creating a cozy haven during storm season or on a typical rainy day in Tofino. There's also a cozy library stocked with books as well as music music options—a perfect spot to unwind. Step out onto the deck, where you’ll find an outdoor BBQ ideal for al fresco cooking and entertaining amidst the island’s natural beauty.
One of the standout features of this property is its spacious, well-equipped kitchen and generous open layout, perfect for entertaining. Upstairs, you’ll find all three bedrooms, each designed with comfort in mind. The master bedroom boasts an ensuite bathroom with a luxurious soaker tub, offering a private sanctuary. The two additional bedrooms share a bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
The second bedroom features a queen bed, while the third is a kid-friendly haven, furnished with two single beds, a play table, a rocking horse, and a TV with Apple access. With a peek-a-boo view of the inlet and ample space for children to play, this home is a true gem for families and friends seeking a memorable island getaway.
Whether you’re exploring the nearby beaches, enjoying quality time indoors, or simply soaking in the tranquility of Jensen’s Bay, this retreat is designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
***On-Site Caretaker Suite: Please note that a long-term tenant resides on-site in a separate caretaker suite, as required by Tofino Bylaws for all licensed vacation rentals. The caretaker suite is completely separate from the guest accommodation; however, the driveway is shared. You will have private access to the entire vacation rental and all advertised amenities throughout your stay.
IMPORTANT Things to Know/Host Rules (This avoids complaints)
• No parties or events
• Amenities listed are those provided with the property.
• If you require specific items, please ask before booking and we will do our best to assist.
• Renter's Agreement: All guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
• Age Requirement: The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 23 years of age.
• Maximum Occupancy: In accordance with Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of six (6) guests is permitted, including infants and children. If the number of guests exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to terminate the reservation and require guests to leave the property without refund.
• Minimum Stay Requirements: During peak summer season (July-August), a minimum stay of 3 nights is required (unless it fills a gap)
• All summer bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps between reservations. During the summer season, reservation changes that create a one-night gap between bookings cannot be accommodated, as we do not accept one-night stays.
• A minimum stay of three (3) nights is also required for all Canadian Statutory Holiday periods.
• DOG Policy: Up to 2 dogs allowed only. All dogs must be approved AND PAID FOR prior to arrival. Guests who arrive with unregistered dogs or exceed the approved pet limit may be required to check out immediately. Dogs may not be left unattended in the property unless they are securely crated. Sorry no cats allowed.
• Quiet Hours: Strict quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbours and the local community.
• VRBO: Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30-day cancellation policy. Guests who cancel at least 30 days prior to their arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.
• Accidental Damage Protection: A $10/day fee is already included in your reservation and covers accidental damages up to $1,000. This does not cover damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, negligence, misuse, or violations of house rules.

The host was very accommodating for our 2-day strategic planning session, the kind note and snacks left for our check-in was a great unexpected touch. The space provided the right atmosphere for thoughtful discussions and offered a cozy place to relax when the day wrapped up. Initially, I thought the parking might be an issue, but there was enough space to fit all of the vehicles. My one note of feedback would be to have a few extra pieces of seasoned/dry firewood to help the woodstove get going. All in all a great experience and venue, everyone was impressed by the amenities.

We loved our stay for the week. The home has nice energy, very quiet and nicely equipped. It's an easy walk to Chesterman Beach great central location. Would come again.
