Wonderful hosts, great waterfront deck, big apartment with everything you need in a beautiful spot

The view and the deck and the patio were all fantastic. The location is good, a short walk from the town center. The property provides free bikes to use on the local bike paths. The hosts are delightful and gave us a terrific recommendation for a restaurant about 20 minutes away.

Great house with beautiful views over La Meuse and surrounding hills. Perfect location for hiking and cycling in the mighty Ardennes! We will be back!

A perfect base for exploring the Ardennes.

A fantastic location, right on the river and just a short walk into the town; plenty of walking/cycling paths nearby. The gite was perfect - larger than we anticipated; very clean throughout; all necessary kitchen and bathroom equipment provided; comfortable beds (with some extra lights round the headboard!); large balcony and a little garden overlooking La Meuse. Alain and Chantal are lovely hosts - very friendly and accommodating - and the walnut wine and walnuts were a nice touch. We will be back.

Exceptional

We were expected with the property own wine :), it was the cleanest property where I ever stayed and I'm traveling a lot:), there was more equipment than in our house, everything was easy to access and very cosy :) and both hosts are very kind

Perfect place to stay, and very kind owners.

We had a wonderful weekend in montherme. the 4 person gite was clean, very spacious and equipped with all comforts. We have also been able to fish from the garden. The owners were very helpful, nice and spoke very good English.

The only remark we have is there is no WiFi, but it will be fixed in the near future.

Heerlijk verblijf op een mooie locatie!

Heel fijne ligging aan het water, aan de rand van het dorp. Alles wat we nodig hadden in de keuken was voor handen en heel proper. Heerlijke douche! Ook fijn dat we fietsen mochten gebruiken om naar de winkel te gaan (al zijn ze voor grotere mensen zoals wij wat ongemakkelijk :). Heel mooi gewandeld, vertrekkend van aan de deur. Absolute aanrader!

We hebben genoten van het fijne huis, van de locatie en ook van de omgeving.

Het huis ligt prachtig aan de Maas. De glazen schuifwand geeft toegang tot een ruim balkon met mooi uitzicht. Je kan ook in de tuin beneden gaan zitten en zelfs op het vlonder direct aan het water. De woning is heel schoon en ook praktisch ingericht. Monthermé ligt mooi in een bocht van de rivier. Niet iedereen houdt misschien van zwemmen in open water, maar ik heb het hier elke dag gedaan. Boven in de heuvels zijn enkele mooie uitkijkpunten. Wandelen en fietsen kan er prima. De eigenaar stelt gratis vier mountainbikes ter beschikking. Op de fiets naar de bakker voor croissants en baguettes, wat moet je nog meer. Er is een interessante kerk met deels romaanse en ook gotische kenmerken. De gevel is uit de 18e eeuw. De kerk is maar een paar keer per week open, net als de abdij de Laval Dieu.

Alles was prima in orde. Het enige wat tegenviel... was dat de week zo snel voorbij ging

Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour. Le gîte d'Alain et Chantal nous a parfaitement convenu.

Le logement est lumineux et bien équipé dans une maison très bien rénovée. Nous avons apprécié la terrasse et le jardin aménagé en bord de Meuse. Un grand sous-sol nous a permis de remiser nos vélos. La place de parking réservée, à côté de la maison, est bienvenue. Alain et Chantal sont des hôtes très prévenants. La localisation est idéale pour les balades à vélo ou pédestres.

Des voisins un peu bruyants ont parfois gâché le plaisir de profiter du jardin.

Heel prettig en comfortabel.

Ruime woning. Mooi opgeknapt. Letterlijk aan de maas. Heel sympathiek behulpzame hosts. Ondanks hitte buiten bleef woning koel. Hele woning voor jezelf, hoeft niets te delen.

Geen wifi/internet. Nog wat sfeerloze aankleding.
