Casa Bubu Guest House

Yves provides top notch service, focusing on the little details and making sure you are well taken care of at all times. I think it would be hard to find another place in Nicaragua with the level of service provided by Yves, especially in a culture that is generally not very attentive to great customer service or small details. The property, pool, location, and room were amazing too. One of the best places we’ve stayed anywhere, especially thanks to Yves’s attentiveness.

I thought having to ring the bell every time we entered the house would be an issue, since we would have to wait for someone to open the door. However, we barely had to wait if anything, 30 seconds or less lol... and someone would be at the door. We didn’t even need to ring the bell. Every time we were at the door, someone was attentive and ready to open it. This made everything feel safe and controlled, ensuring that no uninvited guests could enter the house.

This was a sweet place to find in the middle of Granada! Excellent interior decor, the pool was phenomenal after walking around all day. 3 course breakfast if you wanted it, with fresh juice and fresh fruit! Our host gave us plenty of things to do, always had a smile on his face and kept very good care of the house! Will definitely return for another stay at Casa Bubu and enjoy more parts of Granada!

Just need to echo the sentiments of a lot of the reviews that it is the owners Yves and Corinne that make this place so special and this is such an easy 10/10 for us to give. We stayed in a few different places in Nicaragua and this was our favourite because it blended great design, comfortable surroundings and delightful hospitality. It's right in the heart of Granada with everywhere close and walkable, but feels like an Oasis of calm to return too with the beautiful pool to cool off in amid the tropical heat. For us, with a baby, it was also perfect because there are lots of comfortable places to sit and drink around the central courtyard - it meant in the evenings we could collect food from local restaurants and have a glass of wine in a beautiful setting but still only be a few metres from the room. Wonderful! The rooms are tastefully designed with big beds and great AC. Most of all, however, Yves and Corinne were delightful. Yves went through my list of pinned potential restaurants with a fine toothcomb, using his local knowledge (and French culinary taste) to add and delete as needed. Everywhere we ate that he recommended was excellent. He also helped us book a couple of excellent local excursions too and was just genuinely a convivial, welcoming presence from the first moment. Breakfast, as mentioned a lot by other reviewers, was superb - with the crepes an obvious highlight, served with lots of different homemade preserves. The hosts, and the location, made us feel totally at ease and relaxed on our first major international holiday with our baby. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

Staying at Casa Bubu was an magical experience. Every aspect of my stay lived up to the hype I had read about prior to booking. Yves has created a unique guesthouse that looks and feels luxurious. He is the epitome of a great host, making you feel welcome and well attended to from the delicious 3- course breakfast to the beautiful and spotless guestrooms. The pool was a true oasis to escape from the heat. I truly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back.
