Super central location near the Duomo and the lively fish market . Clean and functioning AC (an absolute must for the hot weather of Catania in summer). Host was very kind in letting us doing early check in (in another room) and late check out at no extra charge.

High floor with No elevator but we had light luggage so not a big deal.

Location was very central and easy to reach from the bus terminal. The rooms were very nicely appointed. I stayed here in the same room 3 years ago and it didn’t look or feel rundown or dated at all. Very well maintained, comfortable bed and good linens.

There was a bit too much noise in the surrounding streets late at night.

Location and city view are good. There is bus station nearby.

1. The first and very important moment that formed my impression of the accommodation was the squeaky beds. I had an experience of that in 2 different apartments in this plaace. If you move at night it creaks with you. You need a room mostly to sleep in it and it's uncomfortable. Stayed only because I was tired and already paid. What is the problem to have a normal bed? 2. If you've ever used a toilet, you know that the bucket for used toilet paper has to have a lid or it will stink. But here it's just a bucket without a lid. I assumed they prefere changing, but no - not once in 6 days. But somewhere on the third day they brought a new roll, in addition to the two that were there at the beginning. I didn't understand. 3. Instead of keys, a web service is used. Good idea and works well for the exterior doors, but opening/closing the lock on the room door takes much longer than usual, which is a bit annoying. And for the same price (€80/day in October 2025) you can find better accommodation with kitchen facilities (spoon, fork, plate, microwave). The price should be lower

The view from the terrace - that's what we paid for and what we got. Nothing more.

The room is in very bad state, it seems dangerous to stay inside, as it seems nobody never checks on it. The lock on the door was fixed to a piece of wood which was bolted to the frame with tiny screws - looks like a lock for kid's cabin. The district is dangerous - out car was tried to got stolen at night- lock was damaged and window scratched.
