Winter fairytale stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Kuca Kalina. To start with, we travelled in winter and were afraid it was going to be cold but just the opposite -the house was warm by the time we arrived and wood prepared for us to keep the furnace running. The host has asked us if we could manage it and was prepared to help. When we arrived we found not only warmth but also rakia and sufficient blankets))) there was also an electric heater that we used to dry our things after playing in the snow. The apartment is actually larger than it looks in the photos. And it's very comfortable. The hosts also told us about the things to see and do in the area which was great! I'm sure the place is perfect in any season and we hope to come visit it again. PS getting there was also managable despite the snow and steep road.

100% Tranquillity

This property is a farm-stay. The location was outstanding. A few km from town up and a steep (sealed) road. It felt peaceful and tranquil away from the hustle and bustle. You will only hear chiping of birds and buzzing of insects with the occasional movement of sheep grazing around. The owners have a house, and we had a separate house all to ourselves. The house is very old, but has everything you need- kitchen, fridge, lounge, strong wifi. Check in was easy. The hosts are welcoming but speak no English.

The bathroom is awkward and dysfunctional. A huge hot water system is mounted in the bath, right where you want to stand, and there is no place to hang the shower head. The toilet too, is positioned in an awkward location. Thankfully non-slip mats were in place for safety. The bedding could have been more appropriate. It was extremely hot when we stayed, so thin linen/cotton sheets would have been preferred. Not a big one, but the host used a dubious exchange rate for RSD, costing us a little more than the Booking.com price. Please use XE.com or similar to get the current official exchange rate.

Cottage with style...outside everything. Very nice and welcoming hosts. You know that feeling when you think you could stay at a place forever? I felt like that after just being there for one night.

Located outside the main road you will drive 200 m on a macadam. Not really a big deal since you will be very pleased once you reach your cottage.

Predivna kuća i domaćini

Fotografije ne mogu da prikažu koliko je ovo divno i toplo mesto! Prelepa, čista, tradicionalna srpska kuća sa prostranim i svetlim sobama, udobna kuhinja, veoma praktičan lavabo, i sve što je potrebno da se pripremi obrok za celu porodicu. Svuda su izvezene slike i heklane salvete koje dodaju poseban šarm. Posebnu toplinu daje peć na drva – uveče smo cela porodica uživala gledajući kako pucketa vatra. U dvorištu je prostor za roštilj, lepo podšišana trava, mnogo cveća – sve je urađeno sa ljubavlju, pažnjom i velikom posvećenošću! Domaćini imaju zlatne ruke! Predložili su nam nekoliko zanimljivih mesta koja ranije nismo znali, objasnili kako da dođemo i kada je najbolje da se ide – veliko hvala na tome! Predivna kuća, ljubazni i srdačni domaćini, sve je uređeno sa ukusom, sve je čisto i promišljeno – zaista bez ikakve zamerke, oduševljeni smo! Deci su se posebno dopale ovce, letnjikovac, kućica u buretu, ljuljaške i peć na drva! Hvala vam puno na predivnom vremenu i odmoru!
