An authentic experience in an idyllic village with views of Tara national park.

A perfect base for exploring Tara national park, easily reached from Belgrade thanks to the new highway. The property is authentically decorated and accommodated our family perfectly. We barbecued every night and ate outside in the large garden. The host was attentive to our every need and made us feel completely at home. Will definitely stay again!

A wonderful getaway in the mountains, where you enjoy true nature and watch the stars at night

Despots house is a wonderful place to stay in hot Serbian summer days, when you are looking for a peaceful escape from city rush in the mountains - even without air conditioning it is cool in the house, and the atmosphere is extremely comfortable. Having spent 4 days in this wonderful place with loveliest hosts I am already longing to go back. What a wonderful example of true Serbian warm-hearted hospitality! The host, Rada, made us coffee, baked us a delicious traditional pie with cheese, and even played with my child (who absolutely adored her and picked flowers for her in the yard). The house is in a wonderful location between Mokra Gora and Tara national park, a perfect place if you would like to visit both, and just some minutes driving from Shargan-Vitasi, a station of the famous Sharganska osmica. The cleanliness is outstanding! The apartment we stayed in smelled amazing, and was full of lovely little details like pretty flower embroidery on towels. My highest recommendations! Very comfortable! One of the best vacations I have had. It is a 20 out of 10 :)

Cosy house to feel like back to your childhood. Highly recommended!

It's an amazing place, looks like the house of your childhood. It's cosy, it's quite large and very clean, it's built and prepare for the guests with love. So we did enjoy it big time and wanted to come back during the same trip (just did not have a chance later). The mother of the owner has prepared for us a great breakfast and did not want to charge us for it. Everything was just great! I wish I stay there for a week. the location is super good if you like to visit places around. I recommend it big time.

It was a bit difficult to find the place as google maps brought us to the centre of the village and not to the house. I suggest the owner adds coordinates of the place to the booking address. It also needs a clear sign on the house so you know when arrived.
