Balcony overlooking busy street area. Never a dull moment Including watching the local "vigili fuoco" crew stopping the fire engine and going in for their ice creams.
The host, Cinzia? was very friendly, efficient and helpful and made regular contact to make sure we were OK.
It is a noisy area and thats what we expected so no complaints about that. However the soundproofing of the windows could have been better and the fact that almost all the doors scraped the floor when opened was very irritating.
We knew there was no lift but the reality of getting two heavy suitcases up and down from the second floor was a bit of a pain, so dont take a heavy case!

Utsikten från balkongen var enastående. Faciliteterna i lägenheten var bra med kylskåp, frys, spis, AC, tvättmaskin osv. En flaska bubbel i kylen vid ankomst var ett plus. Lägenheten ligger mitt i smeten på gatan invid stranden och därmed nära till restauranger och bad. Fina sandstränder. Sovrummet ligger in mot gården.
Vi åkte i maj så det är troligen lugnare än under högsäsong och då kan jag tänka mig att det kan bli mer störande från gatan nedanför och från närliggande restaurangen och barer, men vi tyckte det var underhållande att titta ner på gatan och allt som pågick. Är man ljudkänslig kan det kännas störande även i sovrummet, men ett par öronproppar löser det.

Die Lage ist toll: Man muss nur übt die Straße, um an den Strand zu kommen. Geschäfte und Restaurants sind rundherum. In der Wohnung fehlt es an nichts.
Die Aussicht auf Taormina und Castelmola ist jeden Tag aufs Neue wunderbar.
Die Tiefgarage ist eng und winkelig. Man sollte eine kleines Auto haben.
