Lighthouse-Inspired Home w/ Ocean Views, Gas Fireplace, Fast WiFi - 2 Dogs OK

All great except we had to drive to beach access. Would have liked short walking distance.

Do not stay here! I will never stay with Vacasa again. This home isn't as advertised at all. The "game room" is a joke and couldn't even be used due to horrible cigarette smell! There were stains on the couches and the grill was broken. I talked to vacasa several times snd was even promised a refund. It has been more then two weeks and i have yet to hear back from them! People beware!!!

The area is lovely. The house doesnt fit the neighborhood. I was disappointed it was a manufactured home. I must have missed that in the listing. The master bathroom sink has a leak. The draining throughout the house is slow. The furniture was a bit dirty. The house was cold, we used a portable heater to warm the living space so we could sit more comfortably in the dining room. Ill use expedia again, but we wont be returning to this particular home.

stairs to the top lighthouse level the stairs were a little difficult for some of the elderly guests there...probably fine for younger crowd....second and third levels weren't used much but do provide a good view - and ample space to have a social gathering ...great view but tables and chairs by windows not the most comfortable

The view was better then the pictures showed. Kids had an amazing time using the Foosball table along with movie night in the middle area while us adults played cards. I will stay many times.

House is in a good location, easy to access. Decently clean but could use a deep clean. Bean bags are very gross and should be tossed. Couch had many stains. Beds and bath were clean. Floors could use a good scrub, don’t suggest wearing white socks walking in the house. There is no curtains/blinds in the bunk room. Windows screens missing in some windows and other had large holes. The entertainment in the garage is missing all pieces making them unusable. AC didn’t work, but cooled off quick once sun went down. No outside workig light. Large drive way but can only fit cars in single file.

Comfortable but we feel there needs to be more attention to detail in maintenance and cleanliness. Low or no batteries in multiple things including smoke alarm. A couple of bath towels had stains on them also the bunk bed mattresses were soiled. I would recommend a different stool or chair for the lighthouse deck. The chairs were old and not comfortable. I would have loved to sat up there at night to watch the sunsets. Also recommend another chair in the living room. Nice longer walk to the beach which was beautiful and Agnes park close by to take the dogs. Great walk. Trip ended with a beautiful deer across the road eating in a neighbor’s yard.

This house was "just ok" for a short notice rental. I read the reviews about the cleanliness but after speaking with a local representative of Vacasa, we decided to give it a shot. We found dirty dishes put away, so we decided to wash every dish "before" using it to insure it was clean. We had to do this by hand as there was standing water in the dishwasher that would not drain(I did not have them come fix it but did let them know about it). The sheet on the trundle was very dirty, so was unusable. They need to have a cleaning list to go through to check things off. This particular home needs some touch ups. Extra nic naks need to go. There is way too much "stuff" in this house. The upstairs viewing area needs to have a couple of comfortable chairs for watching sunrises/sunsets instead of uncomfortable bar stools & tables. The very fuzzy bean bag chairs need to go or at least use a cover that can be easily cleaned. Maybe add another chair to the living room instead of the HUGE beanbag chair.

Plenty of room! We had the max # of people allowed and we didn't feel like we were tripping over each other!

I'm disappointed. When we arrived and first located the thermostat, the battery was "low". After buying batteries and replacing the thermostat's, the battery holder didn't work (the positive-charge end broke off). In short - the owners didn't heat the place. Other than fake fireplaces in the bedrooms, we "froze" in the living room and kitchen. Add to that: the showers never got satisfactorily hot. These are *basic* functions of any rented space: actual heat and hot water functionalities. VRBO's "bot" customer service was of absolutely NO HELP. I researched online and found that this (no heat / hot water) is kind of a "standard"/strategic practice. We *get* it - you don't want to pay your heating / hot water bills for your guests' use of them. But that's a major/basic feature we expect from such a name-brand vacation rental. Note to VRBO: this is a bad "brand experience" I'm not a tough customer/guest to please . . . but this was ridiculous.

To start, the heater was blasting when we walked in. We tried to turn the heat off and could not since the home owner set the heater to whatever he wanted. We called and within an hour someone was there to "fix it." The prompt service from Vacasa was AMAZING! The problem was nothing was fixed. We were told that the homeowners had just come and told them that the heater did not work and it needed a battery. Not sure what really is the problem with the heater but nothing changed. We just opened windows to cool it down. The amount of animal hair was completely unbelievable! If the house was swept before we arrived that would have helped immensely. The white beanbag chair smelled horrid! In fact because of it's smell we stacked the black beanbags so we would not use those either. I mean, who uses furry beanbags in a VRBO in a home that allows animals? The children's room, that faces the front road does not have a window covering. That is disturbing in itself. That same kids window does not lock. Let that sink in. There is some sort of water thing in the closet of the kids room that makes a horribly LOUD sound EVERY time the water is used in the house. That room was so miserable that we moved the mattresses upstairs to sleep. The upstairs was a wonderful bedroom! The drive to the beach is fine. There is no sidewallk for pedestrians so know that you have to drive to the beach. Big bummer that we could not walk. There was no extra trash bags. Not a big deal, but in 10 days we had a bit more than 1 bag of kitchen trash. The basketball game that is advertised in the garage had no batteries. Even if it had batteries it was tied to the barbecuer so it wouldn't fall down. The neighbors are so close that their lights will keep you awake. We had neighbors that liked to party and with the houses so close together we were woken all thru the night. My husband even had to go talk with them at 1am. Definitely not the quiet, relaxing vacation we wanted or paid for. We will not be staying there again.

I would have rated this a 5 but the washing machine did not work and we have not received any compensation as promised!

This house is Amazing. My family loved it. Unfortunately, what we found the more time we spent there, was not quite so amazing. Just as I read in previous reviews, the house seemed clean upon arrival. As we walked through the house and property what we found was a house that had not been maintained or really cleaned. So many damaged and dirty things... Every surface was dirty and grimy; towels (only towels, no wash cloths) and bedding felt like it wasn't completely clean. The big fuzzy ball chairs are still there (from previous reviews) and were so disgusting. The sofa had stuff on it and wasn't even wiped off. We had to cover everything just to be able to sit down. -The first morning my mother told me that she froze all night, even with extra blankets. In previous reviews, I read there were problems with the heating. I wrote an email before our stay specifically asking if this was a continuous problem. I never received an answer to that question. There was no way to adjust the heat. The google nest error code said it was disconnected. After contacting maintenance, we looked at the ducting and found it full of dust and dirt. We told them we didn't want it turned on after that; we would just make do. We sadly had to deal with it anyway; it turned on and ran most of the day and not at night (when it was needed). The previous review (almost a year ago) that described it as either freezing or boiling was correct. Having it turned on made me sick (all the stuff blowing out of the vents). -In both bathrooms, the shower curtains were filthy with mold and mildew. One was so bad, we had to buy a replacement so we could use it. -When my husband attempted to take a shower in our bathroom the tub filled up with really disgusting stuff. He spent over an hour (while on his vacation) cleaning the drain out and cleaning the tub before we could use it. The amount of stuff he pulled out of the drain could only mean that they hadn't actually turned it on and cleaned it. Just turning it on would have shown it wasn't draining. It was probably only wiped down. -One of the most egregious things is the fact that they had a security system that recorded audio and video that wasn't disclosed; in the description or the rental agreement. Other houses I looked at as vacation rentals had in their descriptions that they had security systems. They informed you that they were on the premises and that they would either be completely turned off or the audio would be turned off during their stay. This is a big deal. I have no issue with someone securing their property; we have to use them ourselves. I do however have an issue and am very suspicious of the fact that it wasn't disclosed. Were there other recording devices we didn't find? It was on, and recording both video and audio without our consent. Sadly, this beautiful house hasn't been taken care of. After the amount of money we paid, we should have been able to stay in a clean and well-maintained house. The reviews I read from several months ago regarding the cleaning and maintenance issues are still true today, maybe worse. It's hard to relax and have fun when you have to have all these issues with a place you've rented. Regrettably, even though my family would love to stay again if it was actually cleaned and maintained; I don't trust that it would be.

Where to start.... Clothes Washer broken, Dishwasher falls out of counter when loading it, Windows missing screens and others have holes in them so we could only open a couple to try and cool off the house during the day. Rear bathroom dirty upon arrival, pubic hairs in the tub! and the drain is plugged. Front bathroom shower broken, can only use the tub. Key lock box very hard to open, took us 10 minutes to get it open, needs replaced. Internet will not allow 2 streaming devices, just one, Internet shotty at best. never could get the tv's in the bedrooms to work. Bedroom televisions mounted above closets, very poor place to locate them as they are too high up on the wall to comfortably watch tv from bed. Back bedroom lamp does not work Front bedroom lamp by window doesn't work, tried changing bulbs to no avail. Thermostat states "equipment issue" furnace does not work. Tried re setting t he system with the same result. Kitchen window has water between the panes. No window coverings for kitchen and dining room windows. Back bathroom bath towel hanger falling off wall Misc window coverings starting to fall down Both BBQ grills filthy and don't work. Also found out at that time that the garage door spring is broken, it took 2 of us to get the door open to only find out that both BBQ grills are broken. BBQ utensils strewn around in the garage. Had to go and buy a new BBQ grill as we had purchased a bunch of meat to BBQ. All the pots & pans are junk, loose handles, etc. Most games in garage either broken or missing pieces. Front bedroom smoke detector fell off wall first night, detector is expired and should be replaced. Front bathroom shower does not work Vent register in dining room broken. I think that pretty much covers it. Just makes us wonder if any of the linens were cleaned as the washing machine was broken! We were very disappointed in this home. When we spend $2500+ to rent a home it better be everything it says in the listing! We will be asking for a refund.

House did not live up to the listing photos. It was dirty. Furniture was dilapidated. Dangerous use of extension cords and power strips. No carbon monoxide detector in the area of the house with a gas fireplace. Number of beds listed was inaccurate. Dirty, nasty bean bag chairs was the likely culprit in giving my son pink eye. Game room equipment was all broken and misc junk stored in that area making it unusable. Creepy mask hidden in the wall behind a picture. Dishwasher was improperly installed and kept trying to tip forward when you opened the door. Cheap faucets resulted in poorly mixed hot/cold water, you either froze or got scalded. We don't plan on using VRBO/Vacasa ever again.

Great property! Floor vents were placed directly under table chairs which isn't a good spot. Overall this is an affordable property and well equipped. The only complaint our party had was that the floors were rather dirty and I think I would get rid of the giant bean bags. Possibly used by too many animals? Other than that, this property is a neat venue and well equipped and my son slept in the pull out bed one night and it was really comfortable surprisingly.

My husband and I share a birthday so it is always special to get away. We were both born and raised on the coast so we truly enjoy beach weather in November. The house was a treat and accommodated my small family and our two friends. We used the kitchen for an epic dinner and it worked out wonderfully. Cooking with gas is something I miss. That being said, there was one issue in the children's room. There was a hole in the wall where a cadet heater once was. So you can imagine it was not a small hole. I ended up putting a picture over it to comfort my child. On our way out, my husband and I found a freaky bear mask from Halloween at a store and put it in the gaping hole for fun. Hopefully, it is fixed now so a child can feel comfortable in a new home.

The house was great! Plenty of room and comfort. Numerous games in garage were broken though but it didn't stop us from having fun.

The house was very nice, and had amazing views! We stayed in October so we got to enjoy lounging by the fire and watching the coastal rain hit the windows! The house was very clean and it had everything we needed for a great weekend away.

This house has a couple distinct features one being a floor that is basically a bar and the top of the turret. The TV in the front room only works for movies and the only seating is on the couch. There is a big zuzzy bean bag thing but to touch it a ton of dust comes out. But it is comfortable with off street parking.

It was a good experience, certain things can be improved. Dishwasher is not put in right it tend to tip forward when top rack is pulled out when loaded. The guest bathroom tub drained really slow and the shower diverter kept coming apart.

Super fun house! Definitely unique and had a lot of nice touches. Nice big kitchen with a "mud room" type room off the kitchen. The decor was fun and it was nice they had games. BUT there were a few big issues that really should be fixed (which was why I couldn't give it 5 stars). There are no blinds in the bunkbed room...the sun comes up right outside the window. Not sure how anyone could sleep in that room without any blinds or windows covering. The bunkbed is pretty shaky and there were big staples on the window frame next to the bunkbed. The other major issue was that the house is in DESPERATE need of a deep clean. My son barely reached under the couch and pulled out popcorn (and tried to eat it) from someone elses stay. There was a film of dirt on all the baseboards and windowsills and everything just generally felt like it was dirty. I also don't know why they'd have a dark blue couch and big fluffy furry seats when pets are allowed in the house because they all had hair on them and felt unclean. It was a bit of a bummer to spend so much on a vacation to have it not look or feel clean. But the house itself was unique and served its purpose for us, just not sure i'd rent it again based on some of the safety and cleanliness needs.

Unique house with a good ocean view. Plenty of space for adults and great activity room for kids. Excellent kitchen. We would stay there again.

Rental was great. Location of the house made it a great place to stay. The cleaning of the house needs to be done better upon check in. There was dog hair all over the house. The master bedroom bed was covered in dog hair as well. Other than having to clean the house when we first arrived at our rental on vacation 😞 it was a perfect place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

The location of this house is fantastic. It’s close to an easy beach access and just a quick drive to Lincoln City shops and restaurants. You will also have a great view of the ocean from the upper floors. However, there was one big downside, the floors were extremely dirty and everything upstairs was dusty and covered in dog hair. We either had to wear socks or wash our feet before bedtime after just spending our evenings in the house. I wore a light colored shirt one day and noticed black pet hair all over me when we left for the day only an hour later. If everything had been clean and tidy it would have been a 5 star place but cleanliness is very important and it didn’t meet my expectations.

We loved almost everything about the house. The main portion of the house was spacious and had just about every single thing you could ever need. It was a short drive to a fantastic beach access point and a great central location to get to anywhere in town. The game room set up in the garage was super fun too. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the house. The guests that stayed before us must have had a dog because we kept getting dog hairs all over our clothes when we sat on the couch or laid in bed. We also noticed after just the first night that our feet/ socks were pretty filthy from walking around inside the house. To be honest, it did put a slight damper on my enjoyment of the house but my husband and our son were not too bothered by it. Overall it was a fine house that was set up for guests to have a great vacation experience.
