Relaxed place close to pier and restaurants in Riung

Location is strategically close to the pier and yet within walking distance of the local market. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, even organised a half day tour for us at a competitive price as we needed to ride to Ruteng in the afternoon. The tour turned out to be one of the most memorable of our whole trip!

The door handle to the bathroom was broken, no big deal for the 3 of us but someone might want find it irksome. Otherwise everything was in good order.

Nice spacious rooms around a garden, peaceful atmosphere and not crowded. Supernice breakfast and very friendly family who is running the place.

Watersupply in the morning was poor, but not a big problem.

The positive side of this accommodation is that at breakfast they serve a truly enormous amount of fruit, which somewhat improves the overall impression of the stay.

Since there are practically no accommodations in this town that would meet the tastes and expectations of Western guests, it is difficult to write an honest review, as it feels like criticizing one of the few available options. Unfortunately, the truth is that the place is really neglected and that at least some effort could have been made regarding functionality and hygiene. One might try to justify it with authenticity, but the accommodation is simply neglected, without any attempt at even minimal repairs or improvements.
