Our family stayed here for 1 week. The location is beautiful. The host and manager were helpful. It is fairly remote and driving to the property was a little more than I expected. That being said the drive was well worth it. My only complaints were the lack of an electric coffee pot ( but this is an America thing) and the I didn’t love the main shower. I absolutely believe the views and service made up for those things. We would stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week staying at this villa. The villa is perfect if you are looking for a traditional Tuscan experience in a secluded part of Tuscany. The outdoor pool and gardens are particularly lovely, and the whole property is well maintained and equipped.

The accommodations were very nice. The kitchen was well equipped from the espresso machine to the pasta pots. It certainly made our stay in Palaia wonderful. The photos that were sent to direct us to the villa were greatly appreciated.
I would definitely book this again.

We just spent a week at JJ's house in Tuscany over the Easter break. The house is beautiful, the rooms light and airy, all very typical of the area and nicely decorated. It was equipped with all the little things we needed, a hairdryer, washing machine. We bought cleaning/washing products and did not need to, there were loads when we got there. It was clean, the upholstery, decorations and mattresses where either new or with little use (I'm very allergic to dust and had no issues whatsoever - can't say the same about the hotel I stayed at the night before!!) JJ gave us lots of tips and helpful advice from the start and made us feel right at home. Olti is the caretaker and the nicest person, Google translate helped us with our Italian, and we got to try their lovely olive oil.
The house is nicely located for day trips to florence, siena, pisa, and other villages. I wished it had been warmer for us to use the pool more - JJ opened it especially, but it was a bit chilly. The kids still played there a lot and used the ping-pong tables. All rooms have a/c and heating. We used it to cut the chill at bedtime, but it would be equally handy to cool off in the hot summer days. Even my mum, who picks fault with everything, loved the house! We recommend!
