Beautiful location few steps from the sea. Very nice and welcoming owner.

We were missing TV at evening and remote from air conditioning, we would like to turn it off but we can’t.

All was perfect

The house was spacious, 2 minute flat walk to the beach, (you can see the sea through the forest, from the kitchen) The house was beautiful, comfy beds, good kitchen with full oven (fridge broken but spare supplied) Some lovely puzzles/games and area for the children to play at a small table.

The water smelt so bad (rotten eggs/sulphur) my children and I wouldn’t shower for the break, 2 nights. We left early on our last day to shower at home and couldn’t explore any longer. We had to fill glasses with water from the water dispenser (clean) to wash our teeth. The house didn’t have a lounge or any sofas downstairs so if you didn’t want to sit at the dining room table all night long, you had to sit in your bedroom (where there was a small sofa bed in each room) You couldn’t eat at the kitchen bar island as no stools supplied. There was lots of space for a sofa- in the kitchen overlooking the views, and in the big space under the stairs. It seems the house would be best suited to walkers /cyclists looking to walk in, cook/eat and go to bed. At 300 euros for 2 nights I was expecting more than a posh hostel. The sauna we were expecting to use (website didn’t state it was an extra charge) was extra, so check in advance of your stay. The owner used a maintenance room in the house (with a separate entrance) from outside to iron and wash. Access to the house could then be gained by opening a door into the kitchen, so the private house didn’t feel very private. We were told to message when we wanted a fire which we did, once, but it felt uncomfortable and we would have much preferred to do it ourselves as we often do, instead of having to arrange a time and also interrupt the hosts day. It’s fair to say we were disappointed with our stay because of what we paid and in comparison to other properties we have stayed in Latvia.
