Mangia's Favignana Resort

Good swimming pool and very friendly staff, abundant and very good breakfast. Good location nearby several points if interest.

A lot of small details almost completely neglected. Examples are the common area toilet without key, the painting in the room given by somebody who never painted before, or the weekly program with dates and days in a weird order. In general it looks like the staff is putting a lot of effort to compensate a poor upper management, with a hyper division of labour that makes no sense ("we can't take your restaurant booking now as the person in charge is not here"). Some of the staff doesn't speak English and some doesn't speak Italian, and they had some clear issue in communicating to each other. Flagged as "pet friendly" but in fact "pets allowed" would be more accurate: when we arrived nobody had any clue of the implication of having one, and we were told it had to stay in the room and never leave - just to see plenty of dogs even at the common pool later on...

The place is beautiful and from the moment you walk in the staff are really helpful and have anticipated your every need. We booked very last minute (90mins before we arrived) and they took our bags, handed us some towels and gave us the WiFi password to go sit by the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. They emailed us less than an hour later to say it was and, when we went to collect the key, they had already put our bags in the room. The rooms are basic in decor but clean, generous sized and there is no noise from rooms around. At the door on the way into our room we could hear tv and screaming kids in the room next door but didn’t hear a thing once we were inside. We had the half board option and ate in both restaurants and the cafe as well as the breakfast area. Food was lovely and the breakfast in particular was great. There was one waitress who was there in almost every restaurant and she was phenomenal. Totally on top of things, seemed to be everywhere at once and made a fabulous coffee. We only stayed 2 nights but had some of the entertainment at the bar which was lovely given we didn’t want to go out of the complex. They have bikes and things on site to rent as well. The wind was too high for us to swim in the sea but the pool was lovely. They had lots of different areas to sit and lie out so it didn’t feel too busy or cluttered. I also got a massage one day and it was really good. The cost was really reasonable for what you get and the service across the resort was brilliant.

The food options for lunch were quite limited. Maybe a bruschetta or something simple like that added to the menu would be good.

The resort is amazing. Beautiful view to the sea, pool is super nice, you can play padel, tennis and football. The resort looks very nice and spacious enough. You can rent a bike and can visit in 20 min super nice restaurants in the city. Beaches are very close by and two of the most beautiful beaches can be reached as well by foot in 20 minutes. We could relax very well. Singer and DJ in the evening and afternoon at pool and restaurants create a very nice atmosphere.

Not enough staff. Food in restaurants, especially Mediterra, was below average and very expensive in comparison to restaurants in Favignana city.

The heated pool and views were amazing.

The restaurant is not great, the hotel is really isolated and does not have any free transfers to the island centre. The rooms are really old and the bed is not comfortable. The bathrooms also are not comfortable and leak in the floor. Staff is very inexperienced.
