This lovely woodland cabin in Coosawattee River Resort has it all! Nestled among the trees, Bear Traxx is a private 3-story retreat with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and plenty of space for family and friends. Dog-friendly (no cats), with a small fenced area in the yard, outdoor living spaces, and fun-filled amenities, this cabin is designed for both relaxation and play.
Unwind by the outdoor wood-burning fireplace, soak in the hot tub, gather at the firepit, or enjoy hours of entertainment with a pool table, air hockey, and foosball. With Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, and all the comforts of home, you’ll find Bear Traxx is the ideal mountain getaway.

Coosawattee River Resort charges a $59 gate fee for all reservations.
As of July 1, 2026. Daily guest passes may be purchased at any pool or at the CRRA recreation center for $5.00 per person, per day. Children under the age of 6 will continue to be admitted free of charge.
Coosawattee River Resort has implemented fines for certain behaviors while occupying the cabin. These fees will be charged to the guest, and guests agree to paying these fines via security deposit or authorizing a credit card charge:
- Reckless Endangerment, trash, littering; $150
-Noise complaints: $250 and above
-Discharge of Firearms & unattended fires $500
Near the resort is: Coosawattee Tubing Company and Noah's Ark animal rescue.

-Written cancellations or changes received 31+ days before check-in will be refunded minus a $65 fee.
Within 31 Days:
-Cancellations, changes, or rescheduling within 31 days of check-in forfeit all payments, which are non-transferable.
If Rebooked:
-If your cancelled dates are rebooked, you’ll be refunded for the rebooked portion.
No Shows / Early Departures:
-No refunds for no-shows, early departures, or reduced party size.

Six adults, one child, and a small dog enjoyed Thanksgiving at this 3-level cabin. The gas fireplace on a timer was awesome and the beds were comfortable with nice linens. The kitchen was ready to complete fast meals but lacking in microwaveable or oven dishes appropriate for a large family meal such as Pyrex or Corningware but we managed. After the host okayed the purchase of a new coffee maker to replace the one with a hole from the previous residents, we were good. The fire pit and hot tub were very nice but it was too cold out to use them much. We left the firewood we brought behind. The large appliances were very nice (dishw., washer & dryer, frig.). The front and back porches need pressure washing, quite dusty with pollen. It was easy to access the home via the gated entry. The management was easy and kind people to work with we found. There was plenty of hot water. Yea!

The cabin was great! We used the game room every night. The kitchen had everything we ever needed. Beds were very comfy, too. We saw deer every day. The roads leading to the cabin were easy. The gps took us straight to the cabin. Downtown Elijay is adorable!The downsides were the chiggers. I used spray every day and only received 4 bites. My hubby did not, and he is eaten up. I wouldn't call it a fenced yard. It's more of a fenced potty area. There's no playing ball or frisbee. If you have a small dog, it'll be fine though. We had 3 med/large dogs, so we had to find other places in the resort to play in. Overall, it was a great stay! 4 stars only because of the fence.

Management group is awesome. Always respond and online services top notch. The home though needs some updated. Furniture broken, some scary to sit on. All games room items need replacing. Pool table is shot, only 1 pool cue not broken. Air hockey table is all cracked. Foos ball needs lubrication. Was very dissapointing as the family get together are very competitive. But cleanliness and everything was included. Home owner needs to improve home.
