Hotel Restaurant Stockalperturm

Der Stockalper Turm ist eine außergewöhnliche Location und mit freiem Zugang zum Museum hat man natürlich noch einen schönen Benefit. Als wir da waren, wurde gerade der Stausee laufen. Gelassen muss auch ein eigenes Spektakel war. Von unserem Zimmerfenster aus konnten wir direkt auf die Grenzbefestigungs Gebäude quasi nach Italien rüber schauen.

In diesem heißen Sommer wär eine Klimaanlage schön gewesen. Aber in so einem alten Gebäude ist es bestimmt sehr schwierig, so etwas einzubauen.

I always wanted to stop at this hotel while crossing the Simplon pass. I finally had the chance to stop and it was worth it. I got the information via what's up to access the facility. The parking was great and the reception area welcoming. There is an interesting museum about gold mining and working. the room was very minimalist and comfortable. no tv that I consider it a plus. I had dinner at the Belvedere restaurant across the road. basic menu with quality food. breakfast in the morning was good.

I was the only guest at the hotel. I got the room closed to the route with trucks passing through the night. that is why I did not give full score. next time I will request a room on a higher floor. The museum info is only in Swiss German.

Toll was aus dem alten Haus gemacht wurde. Auch sehr gutes Essen und Frühstück. Museumsbesuch direkt im Haus!

Leider sehr laut da an der Durchgangsstrasse mit vielen LKWs auch nachts. Auf jeden fall Ohrstöpsel.
