"Private Room" stanza privata with private bathroom - shared kitchen and beautiful terrace on Taormina Center Hostel Taormina

I don’t understand why people are complaining about the room. Everything was perfectly fine, they left us free tea and croissants as well. Even offered us ice tea at checkin since we were little tired . This kind of attention to details are rare these days. Kudos to staff. It is perfect for stay and the prices are unbeatable. Its worth it.

The reception staff was very friendly and nice.The shower heads are nice and plenty, and there is a DVD player in the room. Also they left us croissants, which was a nice touch. There is an outside terrace with a great view and a bar where you can get drinks slightly cheaper compared to the rest of town, plus kitchen is available if you want to make food. Great spot to make friends and socialise with other travellers.

There were many problems with the room. First of all, there was broken glass all over the floor. We told the staff and they swept half of the room but obviously didn't get all the pieces. The toilet bin lid was broken and also full from the previous tenants. The shower door was broken and we had to slide each piece separately, though there were still gaps in between with led water to overflow inside the bathroom. The side frame of the bed was not steady. Also the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The front door wouldn't close, unless you locked it. A few of the plugs were broken, e.g. the one right next to the bed caved in. Also, there is a shelf with heavy glass decorations over the bed headboard, we come from a country with lots of earthquakes, and we know that this is not safe, especially so close to a volcano with seismic activity.
