Unmissable!!!

Such a beautiful place, kind of integrated into the rainforest, with the loveliest staff ever. The manager is so lovely. There’s lots to do including an amazing national park next door (I came across a rat catching snake) and the pristine beaches nearby as well as a couple of nice cafes. I did a yoga class at the hotel and a surf class locally and there is access to all kinds of tours - so something for everyone.

The stuff are amazing people, live to help with anything you need. The rooms, the view is the best we ever have.

There are a lot of stairs in the hotel which can be hard for some people.

Perfect relaxing stay

Staff were perfect, very friendly and helpful, helped us get taxis into town instantly and the breakfast team were great Jungle oasis - I liked how green it was from the trees and the pool, very relaxing views. Complimentary fruit and water and welcome Drink It was nice to be so close to Khao lak but set back from the big resorts on the beach

Sadly the photos sold me the dummy.

Not too much to be happy about really.

Communicate that a cash deposit of 1500Bt is required. So many steep steps, no lift. Rooms way smaller than expected. Bed two singles squished together so not great for couples. Water heater and pressure weak. Small TV and just a very old feel.

The resort is set in beautiful gardens and natural forest. The infinity pool was lovely nice cool water for a change. The rooms were comfortable with a nice big balcony.

This is just information for people who find walking up stairs a challenge there is a lot. Also you can not swim at the beach near the resort because of the rocks. But it’s only a 15 minute walk to other beaches.

This place has a really nice jungle vibe. The cabins are big and has a great seaview and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast wasn´t very interesting(You only had 3 choices). A shame that access to swimming in the sea was almost impossible because of many big slippery stones at the beach. A boardwalk would have been nice. Very helpful and nice staff.

Great atmosphere but not very comfortable.

Great atmosphere, it's nice to stay in the border of the jungle with huge trees overlooking the small houses. The beach access is 5min walk (with stairs). There are restaurants available on the beach. Very calm, you hear the waves crashing on the rocks below.

The breakfast is poor. No fresh juice, only 2 toasts. The bed was large but not very comfy (quite hard). Lighting in the room was too low, could not see anything in the bathroom, could use a small refresh as everything seems quite old.

Wonderful sounds of the sea

We love Baan Krating. This was our second stay. We stayed in Aug in the low season both times as we love the peace with hardly any people around. The bungalows are private and they sit above the sea so you here the waves crashing against the rocks 24/7

The breakfast isn't the best. But we go to the local produce market and buy fruit for breakie

We have stayed here before, but we are now seeing the property is a little neglected and is looking tired. Access to the beach was closed (previously access via a walkway), this was not made clear in the property info when being booked.

The location overlooking the bay is fantastic. It is designed so every room has a Seaview. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows are super comfy. The aircon is quiet and efficient. The shower is better than you would find in a 5☆ hotel

No parking. Once you unload your belongings you have to park on the dual carriageway. The hotel does provide security to watch the cars. Lack of power points in the bedroom.

Location was good, the staff were nice. The room they upgraded us to was nice with more light.

The pool needed to be cleaned. There is 0 life to the hotel. We were upgraded as the room we booked was so dark we had to go outside the room to find anything in our bags. The towels and bathroom mat were frayed with holes in. There is no WiFi in the rooms only in the main hotel building. There was very limited food options at the restaurant.

Was unable to use the pool. It was not cleaned for a long time and it’s water was green. There were an enormous amount of mosquitos in the room. Coil or at least a warning would’ve been nice.
