【愛犬と泊まれる宿】NISEKO RIKYU －利休－

Overall, we enjoyed Niseko Rikyu. We stayed in January during ski season with 5 guests for 6 nights. The location was good - it's a 2-min walk to the Izumikyo shuttle bus stop; from there you have a few shuttle options that will drop you at the slopes each morning. Otherwise, it's an easy 15-min walk to Hirafu (or home, via the Lawson, after dinner and drinks). We stored our ski gear in a rental locker at Ace Gondola. The house was aesthetically cool with traditional Japanese elements, a solid kitchen, a nice fireplace, and cozy common areas for unwinding at the end of the day. Western-style beds were comfortable with good blankets. Shower looked unusual but functioned well with good water pressure. Wifi worked. External lockbox was handy for coming and going. Firewood and firestarters were provided. Tapwater was great. Washing machine was useful - you will need the Google Translate photo app. Host was quick to respond to any queries. The spectacular view of Mt Yotei was a pleasant surprise, and the backyard woodland is very peaceful in the snow. There is a great ramen place (Dan Dan) just around the corner. We spent most of our time skiing, and had a fantastic time with heavy powder snowfall all week.

The household heating relies on kerosene heaters and the fireplace, which are great when up and running, but after a day out skiing it takes a while to warm up on your return. Two of our kerosene heaters malfunctioned on the first night, and the host promptly replaced / repaired one of them, but thereafter it was still pretty cold downstairs overnight. The Japanese-style futon beds can be quite hard if you aren't used to them. A sauna was advertised when booking - we later found out this is a pop-up tent and only available in summer. The house was also advertised as having two bathrooms - this was actually one main bathroom (upstairs), with a second standalone toilet + vanity (downstairs); this ended up being fine for our requirements but we did have to take turns showering. Previous reviews mentioned bugs - we had a few ladybugs around, but they weren't an issue at all. Overall, the house was great value for being this close to Hirafu in prime ski season.

リビング部分の吹き抜けが開放感があり、とてもオシャレでした。 お風呂も広くて、ゆっくり入る事が出来ました。 外の焼肉スペースもオシャレでした。

室内にありが多かった。 階段に手すりがなく、年配の人が大変だった。

とても快適に過ごせました。 犬連れでしたが犬が喜んでルームツアーを楽しんでいました
