Lovely cottage, very annoying communication from property management

Stayed in the cottage for a few days for work. It was in a good location for where we needed to be, and the price was good. Rooms are comfortable and the cottage was cosy during a few quite cold days.

After booking, I received an excessive number of messages/emails from the Sykes Holiday Cottages via Booking, who manage the property. In the 3 months between booking and actually staying in the cottage, I received more than 30 emails about the stay. These were almost all just duplicates of the same two messages/emails. It was increadibly annoying and has detered me from booking anything managed by Sykes in the future.

Served its purpose

Location good spotlessly clean

It did not feel welcoming. There were no friendly touches. Have never been asked to strip beds before. It was cold unable to work heating.

Lovely little cottage, very well appointed and had everything we needed. Excellent location. Bed very comfy. Recommend the Angel Inn for food and real ale.

Beautifully clean, lovely and warm and the location is second to none for access to all the wonderful amenities in Corbridge.

Exceptional

Really comfortable, very well-appointed and quiet cottage with lots of character near the centre of Corbridge. Only a 100 metre walk from the Black Bull, one of our favourite pubs! Very good communication with the owners/managers and the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good wifi, and a very handy parking permit was available which meant it was easy to park close to the cottage. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage

Our stay was excellent. Cottage was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and modern with everything we needed. Furnished to a very high standard and loved the wood burning stove. Lots of places to visit and plenty of options for food in Corbridge. Will definitely return.

Tastefully furnished, everything that you might need, ideal for short holiday break.

Would have rated this as excellent for everything but for the fact that some plates and glasses were dirty and would have preferred the down duvet to have had a protective cover.

Lovely property , great location but let down by fact windows didn’t open.

Location great , great village

Windows did not open upstairs and temperature was up to 39 degrees. We couldn’t sleep well at all. Rooms were airless and sweltering at all times. Also a health and safety issue.

A comfortable enjoyable stay well hosted.

The property is in a great location a few steps from the small market place. The property was clean and well laid out with a comforting feel. Communication with the host was quick and easy with useful instructions prior to arrival. We were really lucky with the weather too!

The property does not include parking but a parking permit was provided to allow parking anywhere in the town. We managed to park pretty close to the property at all times.

Overall superb cottage,really enjoyed our stay

Village Location was superb,,property was very clean,parking wasn’t a problem at that time of year

Position of shelf over the bathroom sink made washing or brushing teeth awkward , Tv position would suggest an angle bracket as the tv was flat on the wall which again made it hard to watch

Beautiful cottage inside in a lovely village. More information needed.

Location of property excellent just off main square.

There was no information in the cottage about any appliances, the upstairs windows wouldn't open, there were only enough cups extra for 3 people-no extras at all. Most cottages give local info. regarding nearest doctor, places to eat and local places to visit.
