Brookhouse

The house was very clean and comfortable and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped and the treats left by the hosts were very thoughtful. The location was also good.

Parking was a bit tricky for more than one car as on street parking at the weekend was limited and the public car park was expensive. We were made aware of the limited parking beforehand though

Great location, well-equipped kitchen with some nice little touches that made you feel welcome. Clean bedding, comfy sofas and big a TV. Our second visit.

Saucepans need replacing; the non-stick coating on the pans has been scratched, which is not safe for consumption.

Set in the heart of Castleton you can walk directly from the front door into the Peak District countryside. It is also convenient for all the local pubs, restaurants Very homely, well equipped throughout and beds very comfortable. Lovely touch is the welcome hamper provided on arrival.

Nothing really I have a Jaguar car which just fitted the car parking space provided. No tea towel was provided

Great Location for attractions and walking and pubs. Clean and well equipped

Bed in main bedroom was too springy and soft for us, so one of us moved to the single bed which was too hard. Sofa was uncomfortable too. Hot tap in en-suite turned the wrong way. No blind on one window on top floor. There was no mention of the parking voucher but Parking voucher was out of date at end of March but we didn’t find it until the end of the visit so cost us an extra 22£, as we had 2 cars.
