About this house rental
Our beautiful home in Olivebridge combines the coziness of a cabin in the woods with the roominess and modern amenities of a large family home. A big house with modern amenities that’s as cozy as a cabin in the woods! It’s a perfect base for exploring the Catskills and Hudson Valley, minutes from Ashokan reservoir, or a short drive to Woodstock, Kingston, and scenic nearby towns. Our 3-BR, 2-bath house is set back from the road, surrounded by nature with privacy in every direction. Huge living area with projector, well-equipped kitchen, a large yoga/WFH space, plus acres of outdoor space with a hammock and fire pit, BBQ, and large deck.
Enjoy full privacy with no neighbors in sight. The house is on almost 7 acres of land full of trees. The bedrooms are spacious with queen beds in every room, the master bedroom being especially large. Every room has large windows with forest views all around, with blackout curtains for the early morning sleep-ins.
The main floor has a huge open living space with soaring high ceilings and exposed beams: there's a kitchen area with a brand new fridge and marble topped island, a dining area with a large rustic table and modern chairs that comfortably seats 8, a cozy fire place and music area, and an area with a large leather couch to relax, hang, and watch movies via the projector.
The lower floor showcases a large open space with a big table and chairs for playing games or working from home, a reading corner, plus a large floor space for yoga, etc. The large bath downstairs has a separate bathtub and a tiled open shower area with forest views.
Outside there is a large BBQ grill on the deck, as well as a double hammock and a fire-pit, plus there are a couple of cornhole boards available for extra outdoor fun!
IMPORTANT FOR WINTER MONTHS: Four-wheel drive needed!
One of the best parts of this property is that its secluded atop a tall ridge. However, the driveway is long and a bit steep in some areas, so we HIGHLY recommend you have a 4WD vehicle if visiting during a time that there may be snow. (We have a plow come asap after any snows, but it can still be slippery. UPDATE: WE NOW HAVE A NEWLY PAVED DRIVEWAY)

My family and I stayed here for a wedding that was taking place at Ashokan. The house itself was beautiful. It was very clean and had everything we needed. There were detailed instructions on how to work all the appliances which was very helpful. We took advantage of the outside fireplace. The area was just absolutely breath taking. I highly recommend it.
