Grand Marais, MI is a short drive 18 miles west and is the eastern Gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The North Country Trail is accessible from the beach for endless miles of hiking or go fishing in the famous Two Hearted River. Trail maps are available in the house or download AllTrails app. Bring your clubs for golfing at beautiful Newberry Country Club. We spent a couple days here in November and it was an awesome stay. The house is right on the lakeshore, and everything was as described. It was reasonably clean and very comfy! Any questions we had were answered promptly by the host and we didnt have any problems with access...or anything else for that matter. We visit the UP often and look forward to staying here again- this is one of the nicest places we have found up there when we arent camping. Awesome place!
