We came to North Georgia for our son's wedding and stayed 2 weeks in the summer. The mountain cabin is a cozy place to stay. The host supplies snacks, paper goods, and coffee, and it's well stocked with everything we needed. The cabin was clean, and has a rustic charm. We loved sitting out on the screened porch enjoying the wooded, quiet, serenity of Big Canoe. The first day we saw a Momma bear and 3 cubs walk behind the cabin and a baby fawn was left by a Doe tucked up next to the front porch. Big Canoe is a beautiful community with curvy mountain roads and wooded lots with nice amenities. The beach club, for a fee, is a wonderful place to visit for a water rock slide, beach, kayaking or paddleboarding, inflatables, 2 pools to use. The Golf Club has a delicious restaurant and in the foothills there is a pizza shop. The host is available and communicates very well.
