One of the original homes built in the desirable Big Canoe community, The Guest House is ready to host you, a tranquil hub to return to beginning and after days filled with adventure. One of the few log cabins in the resort, its history is unmatched while modern renovations provide you with all the updated amenities you’ve come to desire.

The Big Canoe community is a destination in its own right, offering guests access to exclusive amenities like miles of hiking trails, a championship golf course, tennis/pickleball/bocce courts, swimming pools, a marina with pontoon boat rentals, and 3 gorgeous lakes for fishing, kayaking, and boating. And that’s just the beginning! Play an energetic round of racquetball, keep up with your goals in the fitness center, or steam all your cares away in the sauna. Mealtime is even more convenient via exclusive onsite restaurants, afterward taking a stroll to gaze out at the beautiful lake views or snap a few selfies by the waterfalls.

The home’s cabin-chic interior showcases soaring ceilings sitting atop open spaces expertly curated to maximize your relaxation and connectivity. Sink into the tufted armchairs in the cozy living room, swapping stories about the day’s adventures by the seasonal wood-burning fireplace or queueing up episodes of your favorite shows on the smart TV. The dining table seats the whole crew for formal meals, also playing host to a spontaneous game night. The stylish, well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up delightful homecooked meals, with full-sized appliances, glossy stone countertops, and ample cabinetry stocked with cookware and dining ware.

When you’re ready to get back outdoors, there’s plenty of opportunity to soak up the fresh air and picturesque tree-lined surroundings. Nicknamed "The First Mountain City," Jasper is located 50 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia. It is also known as the Marble Capital of Georgia. Especially unique is the pink marble as seen at the historic Tate House. The city's small-town atmosphere lends itself to a friendly, mountain experience with good local restaurants, such as the Woodbridge Inn where Chef Hans Rueffert prepares a daily delight of signature dishes. Taste the local wines of Sharp Mountain Vineyards, golf the links at Big Canoe or Bent Tree, and explore the area's Cherokee heritage. Just a short drive from Jasper is the town of Talking Rock where you will find antique shops, a historic schoolhouse museum and artists' displays. Endless opportunities are available for you to explore the stunning North Georgia Mountains during your stay!

Cozy cabin in beautiful setting. Excellent communication with property manager at all times. For kitchen utensils, the chef’s knife should be sharpened or replaced.

This is our second stay at this location. The location is great. It is close to most of the amenities in Big Canoe.Suggestions to improve a stay at the cabin. There was no hairdryer(wish we had known). The upstairs bedroom needs a darker curtain or a shade(carlights are annoying). An extra blanket needs to be provided in each bedroom, especially during the cold weather.Extra towels would be helpful.Overall, it is a cozy stay!

The cabin itself was beautiful and the location was wonderful! However, the heater was terrible, it was 60 when we arrived at about 4:30, at 9:00 was only up to 66, and it was set on 74. We called the help number to let them know something wasnt working right, the owners? We think came out and took a look and said it was working like it should be. The outside unit made terrible noise and was covered in ice for our whole stay. The second night did get a little warmer up to 69, but it was not enough to heat the cabin. Our daughter who was staying in the loft had to wear multiple layers and use multiple blankets and was still cold up there. Thank goodness for the fireplace as we were able to light it and sit in front of it for heat. Had we been comfortable temperature wise it would have been the perfect stay.
