The Joglo Beratan

Cool weather, nice view, nice welcome drink, the breakfast is tasty enough even though not so many. Not so many room so all guest can really enjoy the place/lake view.

Sometime the smell from cowshed will come along with the wind 😆 make sure you arrange the breakfast in the restaurant with closed door or in your room (not in the open air). But it's not a big deal. I really enjoyed that village life)

The views to the Lake were beautiful. Walking distance to other restaurants & supermarket. I appreciated the kettle but there was no tea/coffee/sugar supplied, bit strange. I appreciated the very hot water but the shower head sprayed all over the bathroom, & was way too low to stand under..I appreciated the position of the Joglo but it needs lots of love and attention.The staff were lovely but didn't speak much English.

Everything was very disjointed. A kettle but no Tea/Coffee/Sugar Supplied. Only one functioning power point, the others looked too dangerous to use. No hand Soap & the shower head was hopeless, spraying all over the bathroom,when on the holder & way too low to stand under. The Linen & Towels were very old & not particularly clean. The Chairs on the Verandah were great but unfortunately uncomfortable. A couple of Cushions would make the front of the building more inviting & a comfortable place to look at the Lake. The Joglo is really tired & needs some love & attention. It's been used as a great money making tool but no maintenance or upgrades are being done. The Restaurant area, while good in places needs lots of attention in others.. The photos on booking.com are a little deceptive & very cleverly done. It's a shame. This could be a fantastic Hotel if just some maintenance & revamping done. You pay for the view of the Lake but unfortunately the accommodation doesn't warrant the cost & I had the best room in the hotel. I am not fussy. I stay in many Homestay's but this Hotel needs to upgrade for what they are charging. Would I return again, in this condition probably no. Which is sad because I really loved the concept they are selling. ♡♡♡
