The location of Les Contes is superb- nestled into the mountains and so close to Montsegur. It’s a dedicated spiritual and animal rescue sanctuary. It’s more like a hostel and gathers people like a community. With a library, black Madonna chapel, morning somatic sessions, river and a big heart of welcome.
You need to be aware it’s an old chateau, so many stairs, plumbing is slow. This is easy to accommodate though as the charm and beauty and magic found here is huge!

I tried to book direct with this hotel but had trouble with payments going through so I booked through booking.com

it’s an incredible, magical place. you will feel it.
I loved the chapel and the library, such a delight that places like this exist in this world. and all the people I met there were friendly and warm. I will be back.
We booked a room but then upon arrival that room wasn’t available so we had to stay in a different one.
