With 3 generations, we loved this chalet. In many ways it was our favorite of the trip. As is true in any car-free village (and SO worth it!), the arrival is a bit challenging -- park in the huge Lauterbrunnen lot, good train to Wengen, and then a longish walk to the chalet. I'd advise taxi for less hardy groups. The nearby COOP was great, so we bought and cooked in the lovely kitchen every day. Be sure to do the Mannlichen walk!
Perhaps be a little more specific about the length of walk from the train station. Walking to it with bags in ten minutes seems unlikely. Nonetheless, it's doable and felt shorter every time!

Striking 10 out of 10 views from chalet apartment of adjacent snow capped mountains, green valley and waterfall
Host would not allow me to cancel my reservation without charging me the full price after I mistakenly booked the unit on my iPhone in a rush not realising how large it is and that the village is a walking village only - there were only two of us that occupied this 3-bedroom unit. We also struggled to find the unit and the lock box.
