Just minutes from Wautoma in scenic Waushara County, where “Up North” begins, the setting combines calm water, easy boating, and spacious indoor living designed for time together.

With direct access to the Lake Morris Chain, the calm water near the home is especially well suited for kayaking and paddle boarding. Launch right from the dock for a quiet morning paddle.
Just a few minutes away by channel, Emerald Lake offers a peaceful no-wake setting ideal for relaxed exploring and paddle sports.
The connected lakes provide excellent fishing and space for pontoon cruising. Full-recreation areas are available for tubing and time out on the water.
The private pier allows for convenient boat tie-up and easy dock fishing, with poles provided for kids. The gradual shoreline keeps swimming comfortable for families.
DECK & OUTDOOR LIVING
The south-facing deck overlooks the water and naturally becomes a central gathering space throughout the day.
There is room for morning coffee in the sun, outdoor meals at the table, and relaxed afternoons in the shade. The dining area comfortably seats six, with space to accommodate additional guests when needed.
Gas and charcoal grills make outdoor cooking simple. The deck connects easily to the yard and dock below, keeping the flow between house and water natural.
A lakeside fire pit provides another gathering spot in the evening. Firewood and marshmallow forks are provided, making it easy to end the day with s’mores as the lake settles into calm.

This place was very clean, spacious and perfect for our girls weekend getaway. The outdoor deck, access to kayaks and fire pit made the weekend complete.

Extremely clean and well cared for property. Just as described. Owners were easy to work with. Location is great with lots of trees. It is a bit of a drive to get anywhere but the drives were very scenic.

My family of five stayed at this property in mid-September for 3 nights. We really enjoyed all aspects of the property and hope to return sometime during an upcoming summer trip!First off, the cabin itself has a very large and comfortable great room. We have stayed in may lakeside/cabin type VRBO's and this main room was one of the best, if not the best, we've experienced. Plenty of room. And each piece of furniture was very comfortable...which is something you don't always get at a remote lakeside cabin. We basically had summer weather, however, the property had a nice fireplace and felt like it would be great during the fall/winter as well.Also, the views from the main room and spacious deck were exactly what you look for from this type of vacation property. Beautiful lake views with a perfect woodsy feel.The separate lakeside boathouse really adds a lot of functionality to the property. This gives you access to plenty of stuff to use in the lake (paddle boat, floats, kayaks, fishing poles etc) and a good place to hang out while you are having fun on the lake. I think the boathouse was one of the distinguishing features of the property and something we definitely made more use of than we thought when we initially selected this property.Also, the lake itself is very beautiful with really clear water. The swimming area is mostly sandy bottomed, as opposed to rocky or weedy, so it was really enjoyable going for a swim.And finally, the owners were great to work with. We didn't have any issues, however, they offered their assistance and made it easy to contact them in case there were any issues while we were at the property. But they also just left us to enjoy our vacation.So basically everything was great and we would definitely return if we visit the area again.
