This was the *unexpected* standout of our trip. On our drive to Turda, my wife straight-up asked me "so...we're staying at an old gymnasium?"... and I am delighted to report that we were collectively blown away. First mention must go to the staff who were extremely professional yet friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are positively palatial; the interior design is sleek, modern, and spacious in all the right ways. Our daughter had her own sofa bed which she absolutely adored. The breakfast was also the best on the trip, with eggs made to order and actual, real fruit juice. This was something that even some 5 star hotels in Romania curiously didn't deliver. Should I ever find my way back to Turda, I will definitely stay here again. Also, the town is underrated as a destination. Yes, there's the awesome salt mine which is most likely the reason you're staying in the town. But there's also the likeable old town and nearby Turda Gorge which are well worth a visit.

I've tried really hard to think of anything and it's this: For your lovely breakfast offering, as you make such great fried eggs, kindly consider adding crispy bacon and possibly some pancakes. :)

The place is beautiful with a big garden and private parking; Also located quite in the city centre. I didn't have breakfast, so I have no rating here.

1. I arrived around 11 pm, and Google Maps sent me down a parallel road. After locating the place, I noticed that the city centre was under construction, and it took me 40 minutes to find the right way to reach my destination. I was expected to be informed in advance of these changes. 2. I was previously sent an email explaining that room two had been booked. In reality, it was another room. As there was no one at the reception, I called and received the necessary instructions. 3. The door to the room had no threshold, and the light from the corridor entered the room
