Lake Wabaunsee is a recreational lake and community nestled in and amongst the beautiful Flint Hills. The spring-fed lake has spectacular views and hospitality in the Flint Hills of Wabaunsee County, Kansas. It is located only a mere 45 minutes from Topeka, Manhattan, Emporia, and Council Grove Kansas.
At The Lakeview Retreat we offer a 2300 sq ft home on Lake Wabaunsee with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (sleeping 13). The Lakeview Retreat is located on the deep waters of the lake so you can enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming right off of the docks. The Lakeview Retreat is a fully furnished home with many amenities to help make your stay away from home comfortable and relaxing. The amenities included are:
Fully furnished kitchen (including toaster, cooking utensils, dishes, pots/pans, crock pot, blender, and waffle maker)
Multi stage highchair
Coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar
Spacious laundry room with laundry appliances
Linens/towels/beach towels
Shampoo/conditioner/lavender essential oil body wash
Family room with gas fireplace and Living room with scenic views of the lake
WIFI
3 smart TV’s
Large selection of board games/x-box/rainy day activities

The home also has a Bunk Room located in the basement of the home that has 3 sets of bunk beds (5 twin size beds and one lower bunk is a king size bed) to accommodate 7 additional guests with a full bath and an additional sitting area with TV/gaming with walk out to lake activities. *There is an additional fee of $150/night for use of the Bunk Room. Contact home owners to make accommodations to use the Bunk Room.

A beautiful home and property - perfect place to stay and relax to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Charlene is the best host ever welcoming us with pastries and a personal note. She always responded quickly and wanted to make sure everything was just right.We would stay here again!

Beautiful home on the west side of the lake with gorgeous lake views! Large home, stylishly decorated, huge backyard, wraparound back deck, and so much outdoor seating!
Our host was attentive, friendly, and provided so many amenities.
We would book again in a heartbeat! Unforgettable and meaningful memories were made.
*Dinner at The Lodge - Wild Olives was delicious.
Looking forward to a return visit.

This property was perfect for our family vacation! The home was inviting and comfortable with plenty of space. Kitchen was well-stocked and every room was super clean. We were blessed with perfect weather all week, so the kayaks, lily pad and diving board were big hits! The children also enjoyed the rope swing near the dam. Fishing was fantastic! If time permits, a trip to the Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan is so worth it. Everything was great, the hosts are amazing and we look forward to going back next year!
