Excellently located 2-room apartment with balcony and high-speed internet in Mitte

Nice apartment located in a very quiet spot just a few minutes walk from Friedrichstraße Station. All the basics were covered, and there is room enough for two adults and a child. The apartment is sunny and well laid out. Do bear in mind that it is four and a half flights of stairs up, and you will also be walking a fair amount to access public transportation. There are several good restaurants with a few minute walk.

The apartment is in a central part of Berlin, but in a quiet area, in a section in a back of the building so it’s really quiet. The beds (including the sofa bed) are comfortable. The owner replies promptly to any messages. She was very apologetic about a broken shower handle and had it fixed as soon as she could. There is a bus stop nearby and the metro and light rail are nearby within walking distance. There is a grocery store Lidl very close. The restaurant downstairs is nice too. There are many other restaurants and cafes in the area. What other guests noted - there’s no elevator and it’s the third floor so if you have a lot of heavy suitcases that might be hard. Note to Americans - there are no window screens, which is typical for Europe so if you keep your windows open you will get mosquitoes and flies inside.

We were in Berlin to learn about the City and its history. Ina’s apartment was an excellent starting point every morning, whether we walked or made the very short walk to pick up the SBahn or the M tram lines. Facing an internal courtyard it was also super quiet. We Would stay here again.

I cannot imagine a better location from which to explore Berlin - right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of all the major attractions as well as every mode of public transit. The apartment itself is cozy, quiet, and safe, and looks exactly like the pictures. Be aware that there are 49 steps to reach the apartment (10 exterior and 39 interior) and no elevator in the absolutely charming vintage 1860s building. Frau Thimm is a wonderful host, easy to reach and ready to answer questions or give suggestions. We would be happy to return any time! Es gibt keinen besseren Ort in Berlin, wenn Sie all die erstaunlichen Dinge zu Fuß sehen und auch in der Nähe von S- und U-Bahn, Straßenbahn, Bussen und Regionalzügen sein möchten. Die Wohnung ist sauber, ruhig und sicher; hier können Sie sich rundum wohlfühlen. Alles sieht genauso aus wie auf den Fotos. Frau Thimm ist auch selbst wunderbar – über Whattsap gut erreichbar und gibt gerne tolle Tipps für Restaurants und Unternehmungen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall gerne irgendwann wiederkommen.
