Our Historic 5 bedroom 2 1/2 bath Farmhouse Cottage is a perfect country farm getaway with 10.5 acres, barns, trees, a pond, trails, flower beds, chickens, ducks, and rustic accents. It's very relaxing to sit on the porch or by the pond and enjoy all the outdoor beauty. This is a century old farm with lots of family history. It is only about 15 minutes from the city of Toledo. You will truly feel the farm experience by staying here. The farmhouse cottage comfortably sleeps up to 10 people and has a full kitchen.

We had a very pleasant stay. We enjoyed the relaxing evening at the fire pit next to the pond, and our youngest enjoyed the chickens. The house was clean and comfortable, and it's historic nature had a warm feeling.

Our daughter's wedding was nearby and this farmhouse was a wonderful spot for our entire family to enjoy time together all weekend. There are plenty of beds, a well-stocked kitchen and many open rooms to spend time relaxing together.The hosts have thought of so many details. Our 2-year old granddaughter enjoyed the toy/game room while the adults had plenty of room for talking, eating or quietly reading books/looking at pictures.

The property was wonderful and exactly what our group needed in terms of both indoor and outdoor spaces. The host was very sweet and gave us a tour of the property and a little of her family's history there. The grounds were wonderful with various bird calls overhead, beautiful opportunities to stroll and an assortment of buildings with lots of space. Would definitely recommend to others and would go back again!

We stayed to run the Glass City Marathon in Toledo. A 1/2 hour drive into the race start. Property was cute, clean and fit 9 women utilizing a couch too. The owners left us homebaked cookies - such a nice touch. The only reason I marked 4/5 stars for communication was that we were not able to text with the owners. Everything else was top notch!

I told my husband that it was a needed weekend getaway, but actually I was surprising him with our daughter and son and their families meeting at The Koelsch Farm Homestead for our Christmas celebration! Success big surprise!! We enjoyed the yummy cookies that were a Welcome gift, a walk around the pond and watching the geese swimming. The kids loved the chickens and ducks, plus the Amazing playroom and all the toys!!❤ The adults enjoyed the spacious kitchen that had literally Everything we needed!! Beautiful older home with so much love still there from all the special touches that they show their guests! Definitely plenty of room for 3 families to be in 1 house!! We will definitely be planning on future trips for family events!! Very highly recommended! ❤❤❤❤❤

Our stay at the Koelsch Farm was delightful! We stayed as an extended family (ages 4-95) for our daughter's wedding in the area. It was great to have a first floor master bedroom for my elderly mom. There was so much room for everyone to spread out. I even had space to do some wedding floral arrangements in the spacious laundry room. My granddaughter was so happy to gather eggs from the hens. The property owners were so kind and thoughtful. The house is a gem-so much history and so comfortable.

We loved Koelsch Farm, it worked perfectly for our whole crew. It had everything we needed and more for 9 adults and 2 babies. The outside is beautifully landscaped with a pond, fire pit and trails; as well as front and side porches to relax on. We enjoyed just visiting, hanging out and reading the history in the "history room", between family wedding events. It is close to stores for last minute needs and the owners were very helpful. If the opportunity arises, we will definitely return to the farm!

We had a small family reunion - 10 adults spanning 3 generations (ages 20 - 90's) from IL, MI and PA. This location caught our eye because it was centrally located, but it is remembered for the quiet beauty. Some of us walked around the property and explored the pond, ice house ruins, wild flowers and birds. Others fished the pond (blue gills & bass), made friends with "the girls" in the hen house, or played games and chatted in the air-conditioned workshop/party room. The last night we hung out on the front porch and watched a storm blow in, with lightning across the wheat fields, counting the seconds until the thunder claps to guess how far off the storm was. The younger ones went off exploring and found a nearby geo-cache, and were happy too. And a treat for this city girl was a kind gift of fresh chicken & duck eggs - delicious! The owners are easy to communicate with and have thought of everything. A delightful farm with 5 lovely bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and ample space both inside & out for our group. The perfect spot for our first post-covid extended family gathering! Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your family's home. We are grateful for the memories we made this weekend.

This was an amazing experience. My bridesmaids and I had stayed there the night before my wedding and -- long story short, we ended up moving our ceremony space to their place. I'm SOOO glad we did. This place is so beautiful and really just a magical space. Such a lovely family. The only thing that I could say could improve about this place as a rehearsal dinner space would be the air conditioning in the workshop. It was extremely hot. In the house, there is air conditioning in every room so that was not a problem at all. Altogether, I would suggest staying here. If you're thinking about having a wedding here; DO IT! Just be prepared to set up all your decorations for your wedding yourself, which you should be able to do the night before. I did message a small favor for one of the owners to do the day of my wedding (put up reserved signs on two rows of chairs) because I thought it was something simple. However, they responded by asking if I was going to pay them to do so (as if we didn't already pay for the space). Therefore, just prepare yourself or family to handle any last minute details that might come up the morning of your wedding.

The Koelsch Farmstead was wonderful. We celebrated my sons 1st birthday at their beautiful property and he loved every moment of it. The house was spacious and beautiful. The pictures online don’t do it justice. The property itself was peaceful and such a great place for the little ones to explore. I highly recommend this home to anyone whether it’s for an event or a peaceful weekend getaway.

Walking into this house is like stepping into the past. There is so much history and memorabilia here it’s heartwarming and the property is gorgeous. The owners communicated amazingly and having one of the owners right next door was a nice touch. I will warn as a heads up, that the wifi is spotty (not that they can control this at all) and maybe a couple of the beds could maybe use newer mattresses, but overall it was a wonderful experience. We definitely would recommend this Vrbo and will absolutely be back. Thanks for a great stay!

Many enjoyed fishing in the pond in the morning & even a game of basketball. There was plenty of room for all of us to get ready for the big day & crash afterwards.
