Perfection! We have been staying at Shanty Creek for 6 years and this was by far our best trip and it was because of this house! The house is even more than the pictures show-so much space, inside and out. There was a family of 4 (2 parents and 2 kids, ages 10 & 11) and then an aunt & uncle. The primary suite is on the opposite side of the house from the other bedrooms, so it seemed like they had their own wing. The basement was a great hangout, the fire pit was used almost every night, and we were able to walk to the hotel, the Nest, and Shanty Town. During our stay, two fawn and their mom were hanging around the yard on multiple days. The kitchen is fully stocked and with pans that didn’t make eggs stick to them! We felt at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Stacy was wonderful, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with. We’ve never been brave enough to trek up for the winter, but all of us agreed that this is the house that would have us come back in the snow.
