Beautiful apartment in an old historic building in a central location in Cádiz

The suite is in a beautiful old Palace, seeped in history! the atrium is fantastic with is its chandeliers and balustrades. In particular the sky light in the ceiling with its stained glass! The apartment was clean and had many of the original features with its high ceilings and the bathroom was very large and spotless, also the bed was enormous and very comfortable!

There was an air of neglect in that although this was such a beautiful place it lacked the little extra touches. For example the Reception area as you walk in was walled in beautiful marble, but with no plants or presence, it felt bare and soulless. The reception area is only manned at certain times of the day, The receptionist was pleasant but seemed bored and with no music and the bareness it felt weird. The courtyard which our suite overlooked was almost derelict in its appearance, just some palm trees that needed pruning, and areas that required painting. It would have been really nice to have sat there if there had been plants, greenery and benches! The apartment also lacked touches like colour from cushions and again plants or paintings on the wall. The kitchen area was so small even putting together a breakfast was very difficult. There was enough space there to add more furniture or an area for food prep.

This property is in a great location for spending time getting to know Cadiz. There are so many bars and restaurants within a very close area, and you can walk around the narrow streets to all the local tourist spots. The apartment was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The air con was very effective and the bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries and clean towels. I highly recommend it!
