Quick check in. Hotel was secure. Clean and spacious room. Close to amenities
Our particular room was on a bit of a slope so we had to sleep at the opposite end of the bed.
Too early check out.

Location
Sheets unclean and smells through the corridor

The room was refurbished and adequate for the price
Unusual smell, lots of people loitering outside the hotel for friends who live there. Asking you to go see if their friends are in. No staff onsite other than to hand you your keys. No bar, restaurant

if being close to the centre of Gainsborough on a budget is what you need, then this is in a good location. The room has been recently renovated. Having read nightmare stories from Trip Advisor of the Gainsborough Hotel (Which is what Apple Maps still calls it), I was fearing the worst. Nothing could be further from the truth. Everything was great. modern TV, Anti condensation mirror (although odd that they put that in the main room and not the bathroom). modern digital heating panel. I can’t fault the room for the price.
The only negative really was the cleaning. The toilet lid wasn’t very clean close to the hinge, and there were some staining on the towels, So I didn’t use those (so probably a good idea to bring your own). If they can get that part right, they’ve got a nice little hotel there.

No staff available. Noisy with drunk people entering the property. Loud banging doors. Keys did not work as described.
Children felt unsafe and we had to share a room with them as they were upset

Good location, room was lovely.
Car park is a far enough walk from the hotel, also isn’t lit very well. When I arrived there was no one on reception. You have to ring the number for someone to come down, front doors are always locked, I got lucky that someone was leaving as I wanted to enter otherwise I would have been stood outside in the dark waiting for someone to answer the phone. Wasn’t a very welcoming reception area and there were no staff about when I returned from my event. Corridors smell of cannabis. Fire alarm went off 10 minutes after checking in around 18:00 and then at 4:30am that’s when I handed my keys in and checked out. Didn’t feel very safe in the hotel as a young lone female.

This hotel should be put on the map for cyclists, especially when touring. I was able to put my bike inside the hotel in a secure location.Evening meal and breakfast at Wetherspoons. My room was upgraded to a double room at no extra cost. The room was immaculate, looked like it had recently been refitted. What more could you ask.
Nothing to say here really

We was waken up at 1.30am with the fire alarm going off, there was a room next to us with multiple people who was in and out all night banging doors, the room was dirty, and the smell was vile, bed wasn’t comfortable, the room was hot and you can’t open a window

It exceeded my expectation. My room is spacious enough with new decorations.
I would recommend. The receptionist is an amazing soul, she attended to all my needs.
She transferred me to a quieter room. I loved it.

Clean, tidy, smelt great and the rooms were so cosy and comfortable. It was located brilliantly and the building was safe and secure with key fob entry. The staff were super helpful at all times and the locked car park put us at ease! I also loved the bathroom too, especially the bath tub - so relaxing!

They had a problem with the gas leak and kept everyone on the street until 7 PM. I have to book myself another hotel to stay. The staff wasn't very helpful regarding the situation saying that is not their problem

We needed a double room with ensuite at short notice and the White Hart provided us with just what we wanted: clean, comfortable, three star accommodation and no fuss. Breakfast was at a café a few doors along the street.

Host was extremely friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable with the usual tea/coffee making facilities. Quiet location. Going through a massive refurbishment but that didn't effect our stay at all.
Just to add, we realised we had left something behind in our room and the Host arranged to kindly locate it and leave it at Reception for a family member to pick it up for us as we live far away from the area. Thank you Bhavneet!
We would definately return again for another leisure stay.
The Host did ring us to update on the direction to the car park entrance as Booking.com email gave us satnav directions which we couldn't locate originally. But the car park is secure with a shutter. There isn't a Restaurant/B & B facility as yet but we were fully aware when we made booking, but in the area there are plenty of eateries/takeaways to grab something on the go.

Lovely friendly reception staff, quiet hot room.
Looks like it is in the middle of renovation.

Bedding was creased as if it had been slept in before.
Complained to the receptionist who denied this but didn't offer to change it.
My impression is that the bedding had been sprayed with Febreze rather than washed.
There was absolutely nowhere to hang my clothing, no wardrobe, no coat hooks, nothing.
Bedding!

Room was a good size and the safe lock system was modern and reassuring
Whilst the self check out service was good, having nobody in the hotel on Sunday made it hard when I needed more towels. Had to use some spare clothes to dry my child!
