Blacksmiths Beach Shack

Fabulous location. The amenities in the house suited our needs. Grandkids loved the backyard and the Oval just behind. Close to the beach and Grannies Pool. Enjoyed our stay.

The property is a simple well kept property. Great position great for small kids as the property is secure. Otherwise the property was neat and tidy and suited our purpose of the stay and were satisfied.

Some elements could be better for people staying , 1 internet service was poor , and just a general upgrade of bits and pieces of property to making it more pleasant for customers. Eg I replaced hose connection as it was broken, aircon is not enough strength for house and heat in summer.

Great for families, close to beaches,river & Granny pools. Could walk or ride everywhere so didn't need to use the car locally.

The location and its proximity to Lake's shoreline, beaches, and Swansea.

This accommodation is a sad little place which is in need of TLC and some bath towels. The durable couches are tatty and past their use-by date. There are holes in walls, broken crockery, and taps, to name a few things. When we arrived, we used the PIN number (to unlock the front door), which was originally issued to us. It didn't work, and as we'd arrived a few minutes ahead of time, we went for a coffee, thinking that, on return the Wi-Fi for the door lock would have adjusted when we returned. Not so! I called the mobile number on the "lock instruction sheet" and was informed that I had the wrong PIN. We were given a new PIN number, and the owner told me that she normally sends a "new one" half an hour before the guests "anticipated arrival time." During this conversation, I was told that there were no bath towels and that I should have properly read the preamble before making the booking. This wasn't a great start to our short holiday. At 11.30 pm, the fire alarm started beeping. This lasted until we left 36 hours later. On the morning of our departure, the dishwasher (which we didn't use) turned on at 8.00 am. with a 3 hour wash cycle.
