First Floor B&B

Some vacations feel special from the very beginning, and that was exactly the feeling we had when we arrived here. The apartment immediately made us feel welcome—everything was spotless, with a fresh and pleasant scent, and the furniture and kitchen were thoughtfully arranged in a way that felt both comfortable and inviting. We especially enjoyed the charming view of St. Nicholas Church across the street, as well as the convenience of having a wonderful pizzeria right next to the building entrance. Just a few steps away, we found shops selling fresh fruit, and the corner patisserie quickly became a favorite thanks to its absolutely delicious pistachio cream croissants. All these little details made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable.

I would have appreciated it if the hallway at the entrance to the condominium where the apartment is located had been a little better lit.

It is perfectly clean and very spacious, it’s quiet and the kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook.

The entrance in the building and the stairs look very bad and gloomy. It has an impact being the first thing that you see when you enter the building. In the evening the stair is very dark and you can’t wait to reach the door, when finally a light turns on. The apartment looks good, but has no soul, it has a very cold vibe, isn’t cosy at all. It would have been good to provide slippers or robes, the slippers would have been mandatory, because the floor is very cold everywhere. It’s cold both in vibe and in temperature. The breakfast isn’t actually a breakfast, the sweets provided are cheap and couldn’t be called food. It has coffee, it’s true, but other apartments provide coffee and don’t call it part of the breakfast. We didn’t touch it, because I asked nicely for decaf coffee, as I am pregnant, but we didn’t receive it. The only nice thing in the breakfast are the fresh croissants delivered every morning.

Property is in a good location, flat is nice and comfortable with most of the amenities you would want. There are some nice cafes nearby and the host regularly contacted you and gave lots of information.

Unfortunately we had a couple of issues; firstly, there was lots of noise from the apartment above at bizarre hours, 11am-4am, loud tv and furniture being moved on 2 of the 3 nights, made even worse when you are travelling with a 5 month old baby. Secondly, it had been approved in advance that a cot would be available but we arrived and there was no cot and no safe alternative, a single fold out bed against a wall was offered, highly unsuitable for a 5 month old baby. It was highlighted that the cot was being cleaned as the previous baby that used it had been sick…..poor planning as the alternative offered was unsuitable. As a result of this my wife and I had to spend hours travelling around Bari until we found a travel cot and mattress to the additional cost of €95. If it was not for our ability to speak Italian, the time of day we arrived (early afternoon) and know the area this could have been much worse. Very disappointing and an additional cost that should have been avoided and catered for better by the host.

The property was so clean and so modern, the balcony has such a gorgeous view and all round the apartment was beautiful.
