This quirky apartment is very conveniently located, just a short walk from Rue des Boulets Métro station (Line 9), as well as numerous cafés, restaurants, convenience stores and supermarkets. The apartment is on the ground floor and forms part of what is perhaps best described as a late-19th-century Parisian tenement-type building, dating from around 1880 and characteristic of the old faubourg tradition. It is tastefully decorated, comfortable and surprisingly spacious, and more than adequately met our needs during a six-night stay as a family of four — two adults and two children aged 10 and 12. The kitchen area is well equipped for self-catering. Both the hob and oven are efficient and straightforward to use, and there were more than enough saucepans, colanders, cutlery, crockery and other utensils for our needs. The water was extremely hot and plentiful. Both beds were comfortable. The bed in the living area is a sofa bed, but it is a decent size and certainly by no means the worst sofa bed we have slept on! The apartment was clean throughout, and the towels and bed linen were also clean, although some were a little off-white from repeated washing. The two large television and reliable Wi-Fi were welcome bonuses, and the two electric fans were particularly useful during the very hot weather. There is a washing machine in the bathroom - which we did not use. Alongside the toilet in the bathroom, there is a seperate toilet which we found convenient. Overall, we would unreservedly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, quirky, well-located and reasonably priced self-catering accommodation in Paris.

Communication from the host was somewhat slower than it ought to have been when I contacted them via Booking.com, although they did eventually get back to me, including by phone. We arequested and paid for a late check-out several days before our scheduled departure, but were only informed the day before leaving that this would not be possible. Aside from this communication was adequate. One quirk of this particular flat is that there is not a great deal of natural light. There is a window in the living area and another, set high up, in the bedroom; both can be opened safely during the day or at night because they are fitted with security bars. I am very much a “natural light and windows open even in the depths of a British winter” sort of person, but there is more than adequate electric lighting throughout and, even in temperatures of 32°C+, the apartment remained relatively comfortable and did not, to us, feel gloomy or claustrophobic. Another slightly unusual feature is that the apartment has two external doors, although only one is intended to be used. Set into the outer wall facing the street is a substantial, secure-looking external door, in front of which are positioned two easy chairs and a small coffee table. In practice, however, you enter the apartment through the shared ground-floor entrance to the building and then through a separate internal door beside the mailboxes. The toilet cisterns also take a little while to refill after flushing and are somewhat noisier while doing so than the average British toilet, although again this did not particularly bother us. There were just enough glasses and cups for the four of us, but if four adults were sharing the apartment there would not have been enough mugs or cups for everyone to have tea/coffee at the same time. No tea towel but there was a roll of kitchen paper (no dishwasher in this apartment).

Lokalizacja była bardzo dobra. Blisko metra, czysta okolica i bardzo dużo dobrych restauracji w pobliżu. Bezproblemowy odbiór kluczy.

Okna sypialni wychodzące bezpośrednio na śmietniki. Po otwarciu okna było czuć nieprzyjemny zapach mimo, że śmieci były wyrzucano codziennie. Okno od drugiego pokoju wychodzące bezpośrednio na ulicę. W nocy - szczególnie w niedzielę dość głośno.
