We never stayed!

A Review of Cosy Studio Soleia The Arrival: • The hostess inquired about our arrival time. I replied between 12 and 1 pm. • "Absolutely not!" was the response. The earliest possible time was 2 pm. • We arrived at 2 pm, to find no one there. • A note informed us that we were late and would need to check in ourselves. • It then provided elaborate instructions in French on how to locate the keys, along with a statement that pictures were attached for this procedure. • No pictures were attached. The Hostess: • We finally managed to reach the hostess, who was extremely unpleasant and uninterested in clear communication. • Eventually, we obtained the keys and viewed the room. • It was dark, stuffy, and had a small sofa bed. False Advertising: • The description "Cosy Studio Soleia, 50m from sea side" is false advertising. • The part of the house facing the beach is perhaps 50 meters from the top of the beach (which consists of coarse gravel). • To get there from the apartment, which has its entrance at the back of the house, it is a walk of about 500 meters, not 50 meters. Escape and a Better Alternative: • We left and rented a much better room through Booking.com with a very friendly and helpful host. Overall Impression: Avoid Cosy Studio Soleia at all costs. The hostess is rude, the room is subpar, and the location is misleadingly advertised. There are far better options available in the area.

The location is great and the shower was good size

The door to the apartment didnt properly close and needed to be repaired, which was fixed during our stay. This meant that we had to leave the door open when leaving for a day on the beach. The utensils were dirty. For example, the sputala was covered in old cheese. One of the two beds was partially broken from before, something we noticed when I almost fell through the bed and saw that the board had been ductaped in place. The beds and mattresses are very light so they move very easily, making it difficult to make one bigger bed out of them i.e. not ideal for couples despite how it looks in the pictures. The beds are also short, I'm about 185cm/6foot1, and had to sleep with my feet off the bed. No shampoo was provided, only soap. The free parking means street parking. The first night i spent 25min looking for a spot. The 2nd night i parked one km/ half a mile away after 30min of looking for a spot, the third night i gave up and paid for parking, on the fourth night i found something after 10min. Everything just felt very minimal and spartan. I know its not a luxury place, but i've paid less in france for much more.

La posizione dell'appartamento era ottima, per la relativa vicinanza al centro di Menton (una decina di minuti a piedi), e a due minuti dal mare, ma vicino anche alla stazione SNCF di Menton Garavan (all'incirca una decina di minuti). L'appartamento è discretamente spazioso, e ben fornito di tutto. Zona molto silenziosa, e anche se l'alloggio è dentro a un condiminio, nessun rumore proveniente dalle unità adiacenti. L'host è stato sempre molto rapido nelle comunicazioni.

Il divano letto anche se nuovo, non era molto comodo. Cuscini troppo piatti. Il bagnoschiuma annacquato. Mancanza di rotoli di carta igienica di scorta (problema prontamente risolto dal host)

Als wir die Unterkunft betraten nahmen wir direkt einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch wahr. Es war eine Mischung aus Gestank und starken chlorhaltigen Reiniger. Zudem war die Unterkunft stark verschmutzt. Auf allen Oberflächen und dem Boden befand sich ein Fettfilm mit Staub und Haaren. Der Ventilator war so stark verschmutzt, dass man ihn nicht benutzen konnte. Auch der Wassertank der Kaffeemaschine war so vermutzt, dass man diese nicht benutzen konnte. Generell waren die Möbel heruntergekommen. Die Barstühle sind abgesackt/heruntergefahren, wenn man sich auf sie gesetzt hat. Das Kunstleder blätterte ab. Die Türen der Schränke hingen durch und ließen sich nicht schließen. Der Rolladen war defekt, sodass es trotz der Gardinen nachts sehr hell war. In der Dusche befand sich Schimmel. Das Wlan Passwort war unleserlich mit mehreren durschgestrichenen Korrekturen auf einen Zettel geschrieben, sodass man es nur mit Hilfe der Gastgeberin entziffern konnte. Nicht zuletzt handelt es sich beim Anzeigentitel um eine irreführende Falschangabe, da die Entfernung zum Meer Luftlinie 130m und Fußweg knapp 500m sind.

La vue de l'appartement sur la rue et le manque de look du studio. Il manque un chevet prêt du canapé lit.

Vicinanza alla spiaggia

Si trova a piano terra e le finestre affacciano direttamente sulla strada, appartamento troppo caldo senza aria condizionata a disposizione

Emplacement idéal pour visiter menton sans véhicule, et aller a la plage.

Volets défectueux en rez-de-chaussée sur une semaine de canicule....un.peu dur sur la chaleur sachant que le logement est sans climatisation. Le ventilateur présent n'étant pas suffisamment efficace.

Appartement fonctionnel, situation parfaite pour visiter le vieux Menton, avec ses rues piétonnes, ses bars, restaurants et boutiques de souvenirs à dix minutes de marche seulement. Pour les inconditionnels des bains et de la bronzette ! Accès direct de l'appartement par ascenseur aux plages... Excellent !!!! Un grand merci à Florence et à son époux pour leur amabilité.
