Host was pleasant, and available to let us into the apartment on arrival which was very late so was much appreciated. Also allowed us a late check out upon request. Nice newly refurbished individual apartment, comfortable beds, spacious and well equipped apartment. Nice pool. Location was adequate, walkable distance to Reef Beach (15 mins walk) which has a bar and restaurant, and good access to some beach sunbeds and snorkelling area. 5-10 minute taxi ride to other beaches - Faraana and Terrazina Beach. Walkable distance (30 mins) to the Old Market area for shops and a couple of restaurants.

The host did ask for a cash deposit on arrival - this was apparently included in the fine print Ts&Cs on the booking.com page, however I did not see it when I booked a few months ago so not entirely confident that it was there when I made the booking and it was not included anywhere in my booking confirmation information (I double checked this on arrival when asked for the cash deposit) - we had already paid the full amount of our stay using a credit card so not too sure what the benefit of a cash deposit would be, especially as it was asked for in either US dollars or Euros - neither of which we had as we were travelling from Australia! Could have given in Egyptian pounds but was over 3000 pounds, and Sharm was the end of our trip so we did not have this amount in cash - and also didn't want to be left with this amount of cash on departure. Luckily, on explaining to the host that we didn't have the cash, and also that the request was not written anywhere on my booking confirmation, they let us off the hook. Although the actual individual apartment was nice and comfortable, the apartment complex itself was unfinished, with no bar, no beach access, and no guest services - all of which are stated on the booking.com advertisement. The pool was open, and was very nice, but no pool towels available with no additional towels made available in the apartment.
