The home you didn't know you needed

The hosts were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help out. There was an issue with the hot water when we first arrived and they did their very best to fix it and had someone come out as soon as possible. I couldn't rate them highly enough and the back story of how they ended up there is brilliant! Everything you could possibly need (and then some) was in the cottage and it was clean, comfortable and homely. The settee could probably do with replacing but, to be honest, we found it quite entertaining to slowly slide off over the evening... even the fault was a positive 😂 It's a well placed location to explore North Wales from whilst being secluded and peaceful... the night skies were stunning due to the complete lack of light pollution. Being visited by peacocks and a friendly chicken each day was a delight, as was the ability to visit the llamas and alpacas. I even came away with a gift of peacock feathers. I was incredibly sad to leave! P.S. Google Maps was shocking (no fault of the host). Turn at the garage and right at the first dirt track (black post box).

Having to leave. I could easily have batoned down the hatches and disconnected from the world

Phenomenal Cottage

The property, the hosts, the animals, the setting. Made to feel welcome and communication was great from Carol. All toiletries provided. Hosts were helpful with the booking and local information. Outstanding stay.

Peeaceful

Lovely place to stay, cottage was very nice, we both thought the bed was comfortable and slept very well. The owners were very nice and helpful and were happy to let us walk around the fields to look at the animals which we enjoyed very much. The views from the fields are wonderful. The peacocks are beautiful and one didnt leave the garden whilst we were there. Couldnt fault the stay and would happily live there !

Perfect perfect and perfect.

Exceptionally clean, a beautiful cottage, it felt like being home from home, Carol and her Husband were amazing hosts, friendly, professional, and so helpful. Everything I needed was there, the peacocks were amazing and the llamas and the views are incredible. I most definitely recommend the cottage.

Amazing 2 night stay. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay and Hope to return as it is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Carol and her husband were so helpful and friendly. We loved walking through the fields and meeting all of the animals there. The views were stunning. The cottage was just brilliant and so so cosy. Can’t say enough good things about it as it was so amazing and relaxing there.

Cosy and comfy getaway

Very cosy surrounded by beautiful scenery. Hosts were lovely, especially after helping us when we got lost. Animals all around which was great and had everything we could need.

Google maps is a tyrant and won't take you to the right location so definitely contact the host for the location if you aren't familiar with the area.

Absolutly Beautiful! We loved cosy cottage. The cottage is so so cosy & homely. Ideal place to get away from the hectiness of busy everyday life. Peaceful and only thing you can hear are the peacocks with one regularly visiting the garden.

Absolutely amazing!!

The Cottage is beautiful with everything that you would need. The outside/surroundings areas are equally as beautiful! Carol and her Hubby are the perfect hosts and so down to earth! This has been our second stay at the Cottage. The Animals are adorable and so friendly. Definitely made friends with the two Cats, Dogs and the Peacock! Cannot wait to go back again.

Lovely Cosy Cottage

Carol was a lovely host, the location was great and the cottage was just so qauint, very relaxing and comfy bed. The animal and our bird neighbours would great us every morning, just beautiful. The cottage is just so very peaceful a home away from home. Not far away from Llangollen, Betws-y-Coed and Ruthin. Wishbone could of stayed longer.

Nothing really although my husband did say the sofa was too soft, but nothing to stop us from returning.

The best little getaway you could hope for at a very reasonable cost

Everything from the visits from the peacocks in the morning and the hundreds if not thousands of stars you can see with no light pollution. Hosts were available 24/7 but made it feel like we were in our own little world. It was more than anything I expected and would come again and again.

Very quiet and cosy cottage. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable.

Very difficult to find. The map and postcode take you nowhere near the cottage and there is no sign outside the property. Hot water runs out after one shower so second person has to have a cold shower.

The location and how quiet it was. We were down for a friend's wedding.. it was a lovely spot. Wouldve happily spent longer there.

The host was v friendly and kind enough to introduce us to their animals - several llamas, alpacas, peacocks and cats. Lovely location and amazing views. Really stunning gardens and fields. Great place to get away from it all.

Bed mattress v soft and bed squeaky. Husband and I kept waking each other rolling over in the night. Some details/recommendations on local places to find dinner and buy basic provisions (milk, butter) would have been useful.

Fabulous location.

The location was absolutely stunning. The added addition of getting vistits off various animals was just the icing on the cake for me.

The t.v was old and didnt work very well. The sofa also had a board under the seating as it was broke BUT, the owners knew about it and said they were both on order. Even these 2 things couldnt put us off!! Its a beaitiful, quiet lovely place! And we most certainly will return
