About this house rental
Very comfortable and charming Apartment suite in UPSTAIRS of the oldest house in Seattle, built in 1858 ish, Rebuilt by us in 2018.
New everything-plumbing, electrical, roof, walls, sheetrock, paint, carpet, appliances, sinks, tubs, added Foundation, insulation, etc.
Former home of Doc David Maynard & Catherine, friends of Chief Seattle.
Doc was a early, colorful promoter of Seattle in 1852.

We are 441 feet from Alki Beach Park and 1/2 block to free water-taxi shuttle bus stops, 23 restaurants, beaches, many miles of walking, biking and running paths. Great sea breezes and sea air to breathe.
As they say, come to Alki for a Day or a Lifetime.

We had a fabulous stay at this historic home! Our hosts were the best I have experienced! Our apartment literally had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and our hosts even had essentials like butter and cream all ready in the frig for us!!
The location was perfect as it was just a block from Alki beach where there was a lovely walking path along the beach and many restaurants within walking distance. I have never written a review, but our great
experience spurred me to write one for our lovely hosts!

I stay in a lot of Vrbo locations and I have never seen a better stocked or such a well appointed locale. These are the most thoughtful hosts, in a charming part of Seattle. You can walk to the water, restaurants, etc. Great experience.
