The house is very spatious, the kitchen area is huge and also the living room. There are many authentic and beautiful objects in the house. Some boardgames for the children to play with.
The doorways of some of the doors are low and in case you are taller that 180 cm there is a big chance that you will hit your head, what my spouse did several times. The coffee machine is a nuisance and I am not the least experienced with coffee machines. Around the house there is concrete and therefore it is not that cosy to sit outside. Some flowers would make it so much more nicer. As there is so much space in the house there could have been a wasching machine. No wine glasses.

We found out on the spot that the house is rented by a foundation that helps local youth get off drugs. We were happy to support the activity by renting the house.
There is a large lawn behind the house as a parking space. A lot of space. Warning, don't take a car with low ground clearance. The ascent to the yard is short and steep. We drove into the yard normally, but we came by reversing because otherwise the front edge of the car would have hit the road.
The location is good on the west side of the island. Of course, it is a bit longer to drive to the center of the island or to the east coast, but the roads are very good and there were no traffic jams. Distances are short. I recommend renting a car so that you can get to different destinations easily and quickly.
We were here in mid-June.
Some of us are more comfortable in cold conditions and others in warm ones. We are the ones who need warmth and dry air is better than humidity.
The house is a spacious and beautiful traditional Azorean house. Traditionality brings one big negative thing for us, which also slightly affected my grade. For Finns, heating means that the house is heated. This house, and as I understand it, not many other traditional houses ARE NOT HEATED. Heating means here a portable radiator that is not switch on connected to heat all the time. This brings moisture and coldness to the interior. By the time you go to sleep, the bed is damp and cold. At first we only had one heating radiator, but upon request we got another one. In this way, both bedrooms were heated and in the morning we moved the other to the kitchen. We didn't use the living room since it was all the time cold.
