If you dream of an oasis of tranquility with a southern European atmosphere and long evenings in a picturesque nature park while enjoying a fine glass of wine, then leave your everyday life behind and immerse yourself in the tranquil life of our “Domaine du Figuier.” We discovered this gem on a hill overlooking the banks of the Cèze River. A largely unspoiled park (8,000 m²) with mature trees, generously furnished with tables, chairs, and lounge chairs, is at your disposal. A small wooden door leads into the courtyard, from where a stone staircase (14 steps of comfortable height and width, but not suitable for those with mobility issues) takes you to the covered terrace. A breathtaking view rewards the small effort. The entrances to the three tastefully renovated loft apartments are also located here. *** Garten-Eden property

You’ll be staying on the property of a sculptor. Upon request, you can participate in artistic activities. A barbecue is available to our guests both in the courtyard and in the park. The day after your arrival, we invite new guests to a welcome drink. During this gathering, we’ll offer you detailed tips on how to make the most of your vacation. You’ll also find a folder with extensive information in every apartment. Since we live on-site, we’re always here for you. Should any health issues arise—which we certainly hope won’t happen—we’ll accompany you to the doctor if necessary! Language barriers are no obstacle either; we speak English, German, and French
The Surroundings:
The house’s quiet yet central location offers plenty of options to suit every taste. Attractive destinations for day trips include: the historic town of Uzès with its bishop’s seat (40 km), Nîmes with the Pont du Gard (60 km), and Avignon with its Papal Palace, which also captivates young and old alike in July with its festival. Anduze with its pottery workshops, the Bambuserie, and the numerous stalactite caves are a real treat. The sea is also just 90 km away. In the early and late seasons, hiking enthusiasts will find true delight. Feel free to leave your car behind for a while. Beautiful hiking trails lead from the house into the charming surroundings of the Cévennes. We have plenty of hiking maps ready for you, and we think there’s something for every taste. In the fall, roasting chestnuts from our own forest is the perfect way to cap off an eventful day.
World Cup: Our house offers ideal vacation conditions for both soccer fans and those who aren’t so keen on the sport. Our guesthouse is TV-free for “non-fans,” but for the fans, the beach café on the Cèze River (10 minutes away) is equipped with a big-screen TV and lets you take a dip in the cool water at halftime… or enjoy a beer or… There’s something for everyone. Have fun!

Frau Inge Schmidt führt seit 25 Jahren dieses Haus.Es liegt auf einem Hügel und der Weg endet dort.Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet,der Garten sucht mit seinem terrassenförmigen Aufbau und den vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten im Schatten der uralten Bäumen seinesgleichen!Der Ausblick von unserer Dachterrasse auf die waldigen Berge ringsherum ist einmalig.
Die Gastgeberin ist gleichermassen um Privatsphäre aber auch Support bemüht sowie Empfehlungen für die umliegenden Badestellen am Fluss,die Restaurants oder Wanderrouten die zum Teil vom Haus wegführen.Wir haben drei wunderbar ruhige und erholsame Wochen verbracht und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!

Man muss ehrlich sein, wenn man über die Brücke Richtung Molières-sur-Cèze fährt und dann rechts abbiegt, in Richtung des Kleinods von Inge, wird man erst einmal auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurück geholt! Plattenbauten aus der Zeit des Bergbaus, wenn man diese Zeitzeugen hinter sich gelassen hat, und man sich durch die engen Gassen mit alten Häusern aus vergangener Zeit geschlängelt hat und man am alten Weingut von der Künstlerin und Gastgeberin Inge angekommen ist... dann hat man es sich verdient!
Wir waren in der Wohnung, mit der Terrasse untergebracht, ein wunderschöner Blick auf die Cevennen. Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet, und in einen sehr sauberen Zustand! Die Gastgeberin Inge hat uns in sehr netten Gesprächen, die Cevennen aber auch ihre Kunst der Bildhauerei nahegebracht.
Es war eine wunderschöne Woche.

What you see is exactly what you get. The flowers, the hills, the garden, the house: it is just as on the pictures and it is perfect. It's quiet and beautiful. The owner is such a sweet lady, very helpful and full of advises. We have enjoyed our stay a lot, (with our 1.5 year old), spending a lot of time in the garden, sometimes going for a swim in the river Ceze, or for a walk in the hills just behind the house, or to one of the old villages in the neighborhood. Please go to this little pearl.

Um zur Ruhe zu kommen und den Blick zu weiten, ist die kleine Dachterrasse der richtige Ort. Zudem war sie für uns wie ein zusätzliches Zimmer dieser zweckmäßig und gemütlich eingerichteten Ferienwohnung. Der große Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein und war für unsere Tochter (10) samt neu gewonnenen Ferien- Freundinnen ein Paradies. Inge ist eine umsichtige, zuvorkommende Vermieterin vor Ort, von der wir viele Anregungen zum Entdecken der Umgebung erhalten haben. Und frische Feigen vom Baum im Garten und einen köstlichen Rose`aus der Region! Baden in den Flüssen, Kanu fahren, herrliche Wanderungen, Schlendern auf den Märkten, Sitzen im Cafe, leckeres französisches Essen, Entdecken auf den Spuren der Geschichte- die mögliche Vielfalt neben dem Lesen, Ausruhen und Spielen im alten Bauernhaus hat uns sehr gefallen. (Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern könnte die steile Stiege ins Dachgeschoss problematisch sein.) Ansonsten uneingeschränkte Empfehlung. Danke, liebe Inge, für die wohltuende südfranzösische Atmosphäre!
