About this house rental

Total seclusion!! Cute, cozy 2 bedroom cottage nestled in a bush setting. In the evening you can listen the native Kiwi & Morepork living in bush opposite the cottage and wake up to abundant birdsong, in this peaceful rural environment. We have everything you need to make your stay comfortable plus no noise, no traffic, no people, no light pollution, no cell phone coverage, a great get away from urban life, a chance to reconnect with nature and de-stress and recharge and experience farm life, for the curious.

We had a wonderful time at Hutiwai Hideaway. It is a lovely secluded spot amongst farmland and native bush. Just what we needed to decompress from a busy time and get away from it all. The house had everything you needed, with lovely retro furnishings and newly updated kitchen. The location is excellent for visiting the 3 sisters and Elephant rock and we were treated to a short stroll down the road to see some glow worms on the owners property by a little waterfall. We had a lovely time and would definitely go back again.

We spent a wonderful night with a brilliant sky and sounds of nature (kiwis?). We met the host in the morning when we left. His cattle behaved very politely and let us pass. We found fresh milk, butter and bread. Thank you! We would like to come again.
