There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. We did run out of hot water after two showers, but that didn’t spoil our stay.

It was quaint and cute. Lovely views, property was well enough equipped.

I thought the furniture was a little tired, the bed was uncomfortable endured it for the two days but wouldn’t have liked any longer.

The view was absolutely stunning! The house and the garden were just exquisite and the surrounding area was wonderful.

The hot water ran out halfway through a shower, the departure time of 10am is a bit too early, the heating downstairs didn't really work, the salt cellar was empty so we had to buy a big packet of salt, couldn't find any washing up liquid, and no drainer in the kitchen! Everything else was fine.

Breath taking views, brilliant location, cosy cottage!

Absolutely gorgeous cosy 1 bedroom cottage with the most stunning views of the Moors! This was the ideal break from our city travels where we enjoyed slow walks in the forest and into the village. Very comfortable and warm! Great host who left welcome treats and a thoughtful litre of milk!

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful location.

Lovely location and a really quiet little cottage. The village nearby had everything you would need but was far enough away that it was a very quiet stay. Only a short drive from York as well.

Parking was just on the side of the road but it was such a quiet road it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was great but there were no pictures of it beforehand so that would have ben useful.

We loved the location and the surroundings, de garden. The cottage is good for 2 people, the kitchen en bathroom are good.

The lights are so bright that there is no cosy atmosphere, the bed is good for a few days but after a 3 nights I could feel pain in my back en shoulder.

The views are stunning! The cottage is cozy & comfy & has everything you need for a few days away. Loved the log burner & can buy logs from the woodyard opposite. Has WiFi & a phone if you need it. The owner is very helpful. Shower is great

It would have been nice if the heating had been on when we arrived as the house was stone cold. However, there were electric heaters & plug in heaters so it warmed up quite quickly

Perfect location

The cottage was beautiful with wonderful views, very warm and cosy

To make this cottage perfect I would suggest a bigger tv because the one in the cottage is tiny and also think it would be a good idea to have basic things available for making a fire in the wood burner, there was no wood, kindling or newspaper so had to make a journey to the shop. Apart from that everything else is perfect and the views from both the garden and bedroom window are truly outstanding, looking forward to returning next year hopefully in the summer so that we can fully enjoy the surroundings countryside and also sit on the decking and admire the beautiful views

Het huisje was precies volgens de omschrijving: een cosy retreat: prachtige tuin met mooi uitzicht op de heuvels, ideaal gelegen: in de omtrek is heel veel te doen en te zien! Fijne woonkamer, keuken en badkamer. Het contact met eigenaar Pete liep fantastisch: hij reageerde snel en adequaat bij vragen en gaf goede tips: de Sunday Roast bij de Abbey Inn in Byland is absoluut aan te bevelen!
