STAY AWAY! FAULTY DOOR, RUDE HOST, BROKEN PROMISES, AND A 250€ “FEE.”

Do NOT book this apartment. I saw the reviews about the door issues and the rude host, but decided to take the risk. Biggest mistake. We arrived at night and after a small battle with the door, we somehow managed to get inside. We paid for two weeks upfront for a work trip. Next morning, we left for a meeting- and when we returned, the door simply would not open. All our things, money, and documents were locked inside. We spent 9 HOURS stuck in the hallway, from morning until late night. The host never showed up, was rude on phone, defensive, and kept accusing us of breaking the door. Neighbours came out and told us the door had ALWAYS been a problem and was recently replaced. The host refused to pay for a real locksmith, calling random friends who couldn’t fix anything. Only after I said I would call the police did he finally call a professional. The locksmith immediately confirmed the door was installed incorrectly and said it was not possible to stay in this apartment safely. After all this chaos, the host apologized and promised a full refund. But he lied. He charged 250€ for “cancellation” and “cleaning” - even though we stayed less than 24 hours and spent our entire first day in Spain literally fighting with a faulty door. Booking support has been a nightmare as well. Instead of compensation, I ended up losing more money. This is honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. Believe the reviews. This host is rude, unprofessional, and dishonest. Please be careful -this place should not be on the market at all.

Family holiday perfection

It was spacious, clean comfortable felt like home away from home

Didn’t have an iron board. The balcony door needs to be fixed but all in all perfect

Disappointing

The location was convenient for our particular requiements

Some form of heating and extra bedding as the evenings in November were chilly. Neither TV worked. Somebody attended but couldn't fix them. (Communication with the owner was difficult due to a problem with my mobile phone.) Oven difficult to use because dials were worn and there were no instructions. Toaster didn't work.

it is close to the city and beach

one set of key (3persons) “100”lockers no sighn on the door or house : so we arrived and couldn´t fint :”the old fishermans house”. the taxi driver couldn´t find it, one guy in the building didn´t know. so we ended up staying in another hostel across the street the first night. sad and tired. two people in the 60-70 ties and me 😢

The location is perfect, very close to the beach and the town center. The flat has everything you need for some days.

Parking in the area is quite difficult and or expensive. The house is quite noisy.

Central location minute from beach front. Good value for price for 7 nights. Would of cost similar for around 1 night only in a hotel.

Only downside was view from balcony looking at other apartments and noise from road. But for what I paid for 7 nights I was more then happy.

Uncomfortable stay

The area.

First, when I arrived at the management at 3:30 p.m., I called the hostess and she told me that the apartment was not ready yet, that she was cleaning it. And with an unpleasant tone of voice, she said to me: go have a cup of coffee or something. But I had notified the hostess Susy and confirmed the time of my arrival at the apartment days in advance and when I arrived at Malaga airport, I informed her the time that I was arriving in Marbella. And I was waiting on the street. After 15 to 20 minutes of waiting, in the end, he arrived and she told me that she was cleaning the apartment. And she was unapologetic, rather arrogant. In the end I got to the apartment and later in the afternoon at around 9:00 pm I wanted to shower, but there was no hot water. And I called her to tell her that there was no hot water, the hostess arrived after 1 hour and a half with a technician and they had to change the hot water heater because it was broken. And they finished the change of the hot spring, at around midnight. And in the end the hostess Susy, not even delicately apologized! Also in the kitchen the microwave is corroded, there are only two mini pots, no kitchen towels. And the curtains are too long for the windows that reach to the floor and more almost like carpet. And even uncomfortable because one can step on them and fall? In addition, the lock of the entrance door to the apartment is broken and when you enter you have to put a small lock to be able to close the door, and it is unsafe and uncomfortable, you should change the lock, it is in very bad condition. And I have stayed in many apartments that Booking has, and I have seen that they all have a fire alarm and extinguisher, but this apartment lacks this.

El apartamento está sucio. Las cortinas manchadas con churretes, luego las paredes manchadas, y ya las camas no eran aptas para una estancia para descansar. Menos mal que fue dos noches.

No es como lo que parece

Ubicacion

El apartamento huele mal de pis de gatos, seguramente vivian gatos dentro. El armario no tiene nada para poner camisetas y vestidos, tuvimos que dejar todo en la maleta. No hay maquina de cafe y tampoco de the. La terraza no tiene privacy y con vista de todos los vecinos, se ve que es un edificio muy mal cuidado y habitado. Los muebles dentro son antiguos y las camas bastante gastadas. Las fotos engan̈an mucho lo que es en realidad.

Todo, la ubiccación a pasos de todo, el balcón, la cocina, con lavarropas y lo que necesites, dos habitaciones cómodas, la verdad me encantó este lugar!!!!!!!! A un paso de la playa ME ENCANTÓ !!!!
