About this farm stay rental

Perfectly situated for exploring the beautiful Garfagnana, & Lucca province, this delightful 4 bedroom house is set 1 hr north of Lucca.
This 4 bed stone cottage boasts 1 double bedroom and 3 twin rooms, one of which can be a double on request (please ask when booking), along with two shower rooms and a further WC. There is a 3rd shower room accessible from garden. There is a large comfy double aspect living room with open fire, and a traditional style kitchen diner.
Outside, is the ‘piece di resistance’ – firstly there is a covered living room leading from the internal lounge, complete with lighting & conservatory style furniture, then there is the extensive covered loggia with al fresco dining & relaxing facilities. The views from here over the private pool & the stunning countryside give a real sensation of peace…
Also in the grounds is the private saline (not chlorine) pool of 12M x 6M with Roman Steps for sitting. This great pool also has its own hydro-massage area. There is plenty of space for playing, and a good sized BBQ too.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa – the setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Our children especially loved the alpacas, chickens, and tortoises. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, even leaving us a delicious homemade cake on arrival.The nearby villages are quiet but charming and worth visiting. We also took day trips to Florence and Pisa – longer drives, but definitely worth it.Thank you for a fantastic stay!

We had such a lovely stay at villa Di Rustico Amola, it was even better than expected. Amazing host and good communication, the villa had a lot of nice little spots/place, a beautiful Veranda, large pool, barbecue, pizza oven and more. We will def recommends to everyone!

Lovely house and garden

We are a family of five, with three children between 9 and 11. We loved the pool, and the outside eating area, and the rustic barbeque. The house itself had masses of charm. There is a great living room/den where the kids could watch an occasional dvd. The kitchen could do with a bit of storage space, but was functional enough. My daughter enjoyed feeding the chickens and the tortoise. Great views. We didn't do much other than the odd trip to Castelnuevo, and a bit of cycling, but the property is great if you just want to relax by the pool. Riccardo, the owner, was very welcoming, and really helpful.

The location is amazing with fantastic views! This is a great family-friendly house with a stunning pool, great BBQ and traditional pizza oven. We were well looked after by the owners with fresh eggs and vegetables. The local villages have all the amenities required including some lovely restaurants. We'll visit again!

Great villa with an excellent pool and garden

We loved our stay at Rustico Lamola. The house was perfect for us, 4 adults and 4 kids. When we arrived we got some eggs from the hens living on the property! There were also two tortoises living in the backyard which the kids loved to feed with lettuce. The garden was in great condition with a lot of flowers, lemon trees, tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini, strawberries and fresh herbs. The kids loved the pool. It being a saltwater pool was actually a big plus. Much better than a chlorinated pool. We ate all our meals under the pergola in front of the house. It was really nice to be able to sit all together outside in the shade. We used the pizza oven outside two times during our stay and the pizzas came out really great. The closest grocery store was only 5 minutes with car and if you wanted a wider selection you could drive 25 minutes to the nearest super store. The house didn’t have air condition, but that didn’t matter since the temperature was about 22 degrees during the night (due to cold mountain air) even though it was above 30 during the day. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

This was our third visit. As always if a slight problem is encountered nothing is too much trouble for it to be rectified. Visited some of our favourite haunts but found it relaxing just staying at the property soaking up the sun and that lovely view. Garden so well stocked with herbs of which we took advantage. We were invited to help ourselves to any fruit or vegetables growing on the property too.

Clean, well maintained house and facilities. We loved the fresh herbs that was free for use, the real pizza oven, the fresh eggs from the hens in the pen next to the lawn. The saltwater pool was perfect to spend much time in due to the low chlorine content. Very helpful owner. Several nice small villages in the vicinity and pretty close to Luca. If you like to skip driving theres a train station nearby that takes you to Luca and further. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends.

If you like to look at the Mountains and listening to the quietness while the kids are playing in and around the swimming pool, then this is a great place to do it. Lots of kids Space, lots of possibilities for relaxing, reading, cooking. Do go Down the hill to the river. It's yet another play area for grownups and children. The walk to the Castle is a great hike even for children. we were two families 4 grownups and 4 kids at the age of 8-10. Everybody enjoyed every minute. One thing to keep in mind is that you need a car and the roads to and from is very bumpy, steep and narrow which is why trips to the cities like Lucca, La Spezia etc. takes time

Everything about Rustico Lamola is amazing - the house, views, location and facilities was perfect! We were a extended family of six with several generations in the same house. As the house has plenty of private spaces, cohabiting was easy. Dinner times could be enjoyed inside and out with large tressles to seat big groups. It was tranquil in the evenings (absolutely silent). Highly recommended!

We stayed here in August 2015 and had a wonderful time (two families of four, kids aged 12-16). The house is great, especially the large shaded terrace and the pool. Friendly guys arrived to clean the pool and give us delicious tomatoes! Also a beautiful location - views of wooded mountains. Lovely and quiet, but still easy to walk to two nearby villages (San Romano and Camporgiano). Lots of interesting and beautiful places to visit within an hour's drive, including walks in the mountains. This part of Tuscany is cooler and more peaceful than the South. We had a great holiday and we did not want to leave...

Rustico Lamola. On a little plateau in the mauntains this little pearl is placed. No neighbors - but in a short trip you reach the little village Camporgiano where you can buy your food etc. We were grandparents, parents and three kids (2, 7, 12). And we didn't want to go home after a week, alas we had to. Vivi, Denmark

Wunderschönes Haus in einsamer Lage

Wir haben zwei sehr schöne, aber leider auch sehr verregnete Wochen im Juli 2014 in diesem schönen, sehr grossen und mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichteten Haus verbracht. Das Rustico ist in Natura noch sehr viel grösser als auf den Fotos und bietet sehr viel Platz und auch Rückzugsräume für den, der das sucht. Wir waren zu zwei Familien mit drei Kindern dort und haben die grosszügigen Aussenflächen des Grundstückes sehr genossen. Der Pool bietet den Kindern viel Platz zum Toben und hat auch noch einen separaten whirl-pool. Die grosse Wiese mit den Feigen- und Mirabellenbäumen, Apfelbäumen und und und hat uns reichlich mit frischem Obst versorgt und bietet viel Platz zum Herumstromern und auch zum Fussballspielen. Der nette Vermieter brachte aber auch zusätzlich bei seinen regelmässigen Besuchen noch Steinpilze, Zucchini aus dem eigenen Garten... sehr nett!! Der grosszügige Sitzplatz unter dem Vordach hat uns auch bei Regen gelegentlich mit dem schlechten Wetter versöhnt. Die Bänke dort könnten allerdings etwas gemütlicher sein; ein paar Stühle mit Lehne, um dort auch mal zum Lesen zu sitzen, hätten uns gefreut! Die Lage ist recht einsam, es gibt keinerlei direkte Nachbarn. Wir sind sehr regelmässig ins nahgelegene Camporgiano auf einen Cappucino an die Bar gefahren, ansonsten bieten die direkt benachbarten Orte nicht sehr viel. Bis nach Lucca braucht man mit der Bahn oder alternativ dem Auto je ca. 1 Stunde. Die kurvige Strasse hinab zieht sich gewaltig und auch die Strecke Richtung Carrara und zum Meer ist zwar atemberaubend schön, aber seeehr langwierig. Als Fazit würde ich sagen: wunderschönes und sehr empfehlenswertes Haus, aber nur für Menschen, die auch wirklich die Einsamkeit und die Ruhe lieben und geniessen können. Wenn das Wetter schön ist und ggf. auch noch zum Wandern einlädt- ein Traum!

Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, sehr weitläufig, sehr gut ausgestattet und ideal für bis zu acht Gäste. Sehr ruhige Umgebung/Alleinlage. Vermieter jeder Zeit für Fragen o.ä. zu erreichen. Tiere vor Ort (Hühner, Schildkröten, Alpaka). Einziger Nachteil: Sitzgelegenheit auf Terrasse ohne Rückenlehne.

Ottima villa immersa nel verde, perfetta per il nostro gruppo di 8 ragazzi. Abbiamo apprezzato l’interno della casa, dotata di tutti i comfort; ma abbiamo soprattutto sfruttato il fantastico giardino con piscina della proprietà. Impareggiabile il portico, sotto cui abbiamo passato gran parte del nostro tempo nelle ore più calde della giornata. Gentilissima Clara, la proprietaria, che non ci ha mai fatto mancare nulla e ci regalava le uova fresche delle galline presenti nel giardino. Sulla proprietà ci sono anche Sammy e Sansone, due simpatici alpaca che ci hanno fatto compagnia durante il nostro soggiorno.

Alles prima. Es ist nur recht weit und kurvig bis Lucca, Autobahn oder Meer. Die Vermieter sind nett und zuvorkommend. Ein tolles altes, aber gepflegtes Haus in ländlicher Umgebung. Prima Pool.
