Surf's Up

Evrything was as descibed. The host was easy to communicate with, a pleasure to stay in his home.

This is a great beach property with lots of separate living spaces to accommodate multiple family members or friends. It features high ceilings, a beautiful front porch and is steps from one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. This feels like a true vacation house with wood paneling, and some quirkiness…but that is some of its appeal. Host was traveling and was transitioning to an a digital information packet so there were a few hiccups, but he made it right in the end. We would return.

This is a lovely old house with much character. It is a short & easy walk to a gorgeous beach and also to several restaurants. The big front porch was a delight and the ping pong table lots of fun. The kitchen was fine - no complaints. We were only six people so we ate at the kitchen table instead of the large dining room one. The owner was very available (via phone) and helpful and encouraged us to call with questions. The outside of the house need a little paint I think but the inside was lovely. We did see one roach in the kitchen when we first arrived but never again, I know the Charleston area so know that is common. Our only challenge was the de-humidifier on the ground floor because it kept getting full of water - maybe a larger one is needed I will ask my companions for any other suggestions. If I need to rent a house again on SI I'd go for this one for sure! Great place.

Walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. Awesome place !
