We had a comfortable stay in the pod. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was cold when we arrived, it heated up really quick though and the pod was warm and cosy. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

These pods were fastastically cosy for our 1 night stay during the NC500 trip. Everything was clean and the facilities all worked well. It was pouring rain the day we arrived and the host was great with giving us and early check in and having a fast response time via message. Very thankful this is available for single night stays as it suited our road trip but we understand it would have been even better value for money had we stayed more than 1 night.
Also would highly recommend going to the Clach Mara sauna 10 minutes down the road at Castletown Beach while you’re staying here- especially if during winter!
The pods were a bit of a drive from town (10 mins from Castletown, 20 mins from Thurso) but that actually meant the location was nice and quiet so probably a positive especially if you’re after the camping pod experience.

Clean, Nice and silent area!
The couch is not that comfy to sleep on it, but does the job!

No northern lights but host can’t help that

Lovely little pods, clean, air fryer, shower and netflix, great for us snuggling up on a cold november night. Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night as part of nc500 trip but would like to return next year. Would highly recommend here.
No negatives

The location, the experience of camping but a bit more luxurious.
Everything was great! No complaints 🙂

Glad we stay in as something different. Received good instructions throughout.
The bed was small but it was a pod so that's expected. Too old to work modern tv.

Location from Gills Ferry terminal was excellent.
Cancelled ferry & we needed accommodation for the night & it really helped us out . Host was very helpful.
Would of liked a small microwave but thats just my preference.

Ideal location for our trip. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Well furnished with pretty much anything we needed.
Honestly can’t say there was anything we didn’t like.

Location was ideal as we were travelling on the NC500. Rooms were clean and kitchen had all the things needed - fridge, electric hob etc. Owner was readily available to answer questions. Overall an ideal place to stay!
Shower cubicle was rather small but this didn't detract from the property experience.

It’s pet friendly. Compact but comfortable with everything you need. There’s plenty space around the pod and location is really good.
I didn’t stay long enough!

Excellent location. Perfect for those doing the NC500 or needing a stop-over before taking the ferry to Orkney. The pods are compact but have everything you will need. Our dogs loved the space to roam. The owner, Gillian, could not have been more helpful.

The property was in a good location just off the n500 route and was great to stop over to get out of the Scottish weather and charge up all our devices. I liked the added touch of family games aswell
Couldn't fault a single thing other than the toilet seat being slightly loose🤣

Great location and lovely little pod. Really proactive and responsive host.
I was disappointed that the microwave listed on all the information had been replaced by an air fryer. Other than the information needing an update it was a great place.

Location is perfect. Lots of options for dog walk around. Near the coast, quiet and easy access to the nearest town and castle Mey.
A bit small for 2 adults and 2 dogs but there is everything what you need.

Very cosy, absolutely beautiful and peaceful pods. The scenery is gorgeous. Can't fault the host for the effort they put in to ensure both my kids had there own bedding with sharing the futon sofa bed. Would highly recommend to anyone to stay a night here. And I will definitely be coming back here in the future.
Honestly can't think of a thing I didn't like.

The location is bang on! Very central for going to Thurso, Wick, John O Groats with beautiful hidden gems like white sand beaches, amazing view points etc.
The pod has everything you need including an air fryer! It's comfortable even with 4 of us plus our dog. Very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with fresh northern wind.
We had an amazing stay and thank you to Gillian who communicated well to make sure we got what we needed and that we are comfortable.

PODs are very cosy and have everything you need for a peaceful get away. Will definitely be back, staff were more than accommodating especially consider there was an issue with the lock box they were very efficient and communicated very very well.

Basic camping pod. Bed 3/4 size, so could be challenge for larger couples & tucked in ( only access from end) sofa/sofa bed extremely uncomfortable to sit on. No longer have microwaves, been replaced with air fryer, which is fine, but we had brought food to cook in microwave 😩 as this is what info said it had.
Quiet location, easy drive to Dunnet bay .

The location was perfect for us, plenty of space for the dog and my girl to run around and play, close enough to my beautiful spots in the area and not a long drive to get supplies of needed although there were goodies on arrival coffee sugar hot chocolate etc which was a lovely touch, not to mention the binoculars, a pair in the property so we could sky gaze at night, we only brought one pair so that meant we had a pair each brilliant! Highly recommend this for a weekend, night or weeks stay.
Everything was perfect =)

Easy access, very responsive host, great location for north coast 500 goers, loved the 1 night minimum stay

Very clean, well equipped and looked after. Gill was very accommodating when we encountered a problem with the television and dongle equipment..
Television was a nightmare to set up and use, although part of that was down to the network service provider.
Additional sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable to sit on.
Was informed that the breakfast we ordered couldn't be provided due to sickness of the delivery driver. It would have been nice to have someone physically on site.

Fantastic host, very clean and well equipped pod.
No fan and bed was not that comfortable.

Incredibly well equipped and comfortable. The host has thought of everything! I usually favour hotels so I wasn’t sure if I’d like staying in a pod, but it was like being in your own mini hotel with a private driveway while enjoying complete silence as no walls are shared with anyone else.

A perfect pod, everything we needed, spotless and cosy. A lovely welcome basket with tea coffee chocolate and biscuit 😋 Hot shower, proper loo, microwave, hob, kettle and fridge. The bed was very comfy, so peaceful, just the sheep 🐑 and horses for neighbours. Highly recommended.
Couldn't fault anything
