"Super renovated old Japanese house. Great design. Very comfortable and clean. Corridors were cold but that wasn't a problem. Room was very warm."

古い日本家屋をリノベーションした、趣きの有る宿でした。
トイレ、シャワー室の引き戸の最初の所が力を入れないと開き辛い。

The room offered a pleasing mix of light wood panelling and green checked blankets, so had a log cabin in the forest feel, with the convenience of being near Joetsu's main road. The room was quiet and comfortable. Approx 5min drive to restaurants.
We stayed off-peak/out-of-season so the bar/cafe wasn't open and the host, although upstairs, felt somewhat absent. We weren't supplied with towels so can't vouch for the bathroom facilities.
